Actress Ko Hyun-jung confessed her honest thoughts about the rumors along with her true character.
In the YouTube entertainment program "Salon Drip 2" (EP.105), which was released on the 26th, Ko appeared and had a delightful conversation with Jang Doyoun.
Jang Doyoun said, "Actually, I received a text from director Byun Young-joo saying, 'Please take good care of actress Ko.' They said it always felt like she was taking the lead on set, like a commander," to which Ko smiled and said, "I was happy throughout the filming." Ko expressed her feelings about the rumors that she is a "tiring character," saying, "I thought I was a general, a leader. But I actually just want fairness. I really dislike the idea that 'only those who work should work.'"
Regarding her personality, she explained, "I tend to change once I get closer. When someone approaches me suddenly, it can be tough. Personally, high energy can be overwhelming. Keeping in touch frequently feels burdensome." In response, Jang Doyoun joked, "Earlier, I approached you suddenly too; am I going to get scolded again?" Ko generously replied, "It's necessary for social life."
Another rumor that follows Ko Hyun-jung is that she uses an entire jar of moisturizer on the plane. To this, Ko dismissed, saying, "What am I, a total mess? I'm busy eating bread and sleeping. Who would do that on a plane?" Instead, she shared, "It's important that things I can reach are clean, including my cosmetic containers and vanity, to feel at ease," confessing a habit bordering on obsession with cleanliness.
Director Byun Young-joo, who unexpectedly appeared as a guest, evaluated Ko Hyun-jung, saying, "This person has one side. She doesn't have an inner heart. So, she's not good at socializing. Since she can't hide anything, misunderstandings arise. But from my perspective, she's the easiest actress in the world," to which Ko expressed surprise, saying, "That gives me chills. How did you know?"
Ko Hyun-jung further stated, "The director said, 'I want to extract and use Ko Hyun-jung's essence, so don't hold back.' I've never heard anything like that before," and continued, "I only heard rumors that I was difficult on set, but there hasn't been anyone who saw my sincerity. Thanks to the director, I wanted to do my best even more."
