'Walking On Thin Ice' unveiled stunning visual stills featuring Lee Young-ae and Kim Young-kwang.
The new KBS 2TV weekend mini-series 'Walking On Thin Ice' (directed by Song Hyun-wook / written by Jeon Young-shin / produced by Baram Pictures, Slingshot Studio), slated to air at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, depicts the story of a parent, Kang Eun-soo, who wants to protect her family, and a teacher, Lee Kyung, who forms a dangerous partnership after obtaining a bag of drugs by chance.
The stills released today (27th) capture the contrasting auras of Lee Young-ae and Kim Young-kwang, presenting an overwhelming visual chemistry. The two characters, meeting as a parent and an art instructor, reveal diverse appearances as they transform into secret partners, heightening anticipation for the premiere.
Lee Young-ae, transformed into the character Kang Eun-soo, captures attention while dressed in a banker's uniform with long hair flowing. Her bright smile and unique beauty, coupled with her confident and cheerful work attitude, reflect her past of nurturing small dreams despite a difficult life, as well as her current jump into the taboo world, entirely for the sake of her family – Kang Eun-soo's entire life is palpable.
Kim Young-kwang showcases a simple yet edgy fashion with a dandy style, completing the visual of a handsome man in the photoshoot. He perfectly delivers two distinct types of acting, from the warm-hearted art instructor with a soft gaze and a sorrowful expression to the mysterious club MD.
Lee Young-ae and Kim Young-kwang, boasting perfect synergy solely through visuals, encounter each other as a parent and a teacher living remarkably different lives and become entwined in a secret partnership due to unexpected circumstances. The two are expected to showcase their layered charm by intricately unraveling intense emotions that subtly evolve within their complicated relationship.
'Walking On Thin Ice' is a collaborative work between director Song Hyun-wook, who seamlessly integrates various genres such as romance, thriller, and action, and writer Jeon Young-shin, who possesses both a dense narrative and realism. The cast includes Lee Young-ae, Kim Young-kwang, Park Yong-woo, as well as prominent actors such as Bae Soo-bin, Jo Yeon-hee, and Hwang Jae-yeol.
