Singer Kim Gun-mo will officially resume his activities after six years. He will start a nationwide concert tour in September, breaking his long silence and performing in front of fans. This is news that comes about a month after being mentioned on Jung Joon-ha's YouTube channel.
Recently, the performance production company Istar Media Company announced on the 29th through 'YES24 Tickets' that tickets for '25-26 Kim Gun-mo Live Tour KIM GUN MO.' would be available for purchase exclusively. This tour will kick off in Busan on September 27 and will expand to major cities nationwide, including Daegu in October and Daejeon in December, before concluding in Seoul next January.
Kim Gun-mo had previously halted all broadcasting activities due to allegations of sexual assault in 2019. At that time, a woman working in the entertainment industry, referred to as Ms. A, claimed she was sexually assaulted by Kim Gun-mo in August 2016, leading to the controversy. In response, Kim Gun-mo suspended his nationwide tour concert and filed a defamation and false accusation lawsuit against Ms. A, claiming his innocence. The prosecution made a non-prosecution decision in November 2021, and all appeals and requests for reinstatement by Ms. A were dismissed, concluding the case in 2022.
Since then, he had not appeared before fans, but in July, he hinted at a potential return when his current situation was mentioned on broadcaster Jung Joon-ha's YouTube channel.
Jung Joon-ha revealed his hobby of biking on his personal channel 'Jung Joon-ha-ha' and visited a bicycle specialty store in Bundang, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. While inspecting an expensive folding bicycle, he was surprised to hear from an employee that "that bicycle is famous as Kim Gun-mo's bicycle." This specific model was priced at 17 million won and was a limited edition, with only 191 units produced worldwide.
With the revelation of this current news and Kim Gun-mo's official return being announced after about a month, fans have shown a warm response.
