On that day, the protagonist riding the taxi driven by Park Wi was none other than former announcer Kim Jae-won. Kim Jae-won left KBS last month, concluding two terms of 'Morning Garden' that he had hosted for 12 years. Announcer Kim Jae-won joined KBS as a public announcer in 1995 and has been a prominent announcer for about 30 years. In particular, after greeting viewers for the first time through the Saturday events of 'Morning Garden' in April 1997, he has warmly taken care of viewers' mornings as the host of 'Morning Garden' from 2008 to 2013 and from May 2018 to the present.
Kim Jae-won said, "This is my first schedule after leaving KBS and parting with 'Morning Garden' last month. I was secretly anxious, but the moment I got into the taxi, I couldn't be more comfortable. I wonder if this is something small and miraculous," expressing his feelings about managing his first schedule.
Kim Jae-won's departure was bound to cause surprise. Following the sudden news of his resignation and departure, various rumors circulated, and Kim Jae-won first revealed his position through 'Wiracle'.
Kim Jae-won noted, "I was surprised as well. Various videos, including all sorts of trivial fake news, surfaced. There were claims that I received severance pay amounting to tens of billions of won, that I was a wealthy person with assets in the hundreds of billions of won, and even that I opened a café on a certain island, but it is true that I voluntarily resigned. I was one year away from retiring, but I thought I should go out into the wide world first, and my severance pay is not much. In the past, while studying abroad, I even received an interim settlement, so it's a very small amount."
After leaving KBS, Kim Jae-won traveled to Porto, Portugal. He shared, "It's a place famous for its sunsets, but just because the sun sets doesn't mean it's completely dark around. It still shines brightly, and the sunset light makes the day more beautiful. On the opposite side, the moon was rising. Watching the area become beautiful in moonlight, I realized that just because I've left the job I had for over 30 years, my life doesn't become completely dark; rather, this moment in my life is becoming more beautiful, and the moonlight emerging from the opposite side will make my life a more beautiful flower path."
Kim Jae-won, who has left KBS after a long time and is starting a new life, said, "I've taken out a blank canvas. I've prepared Craypas and paint that I learned from KBS, a school for the past 30 years, and from 'Morning Garden', a school I attended for 12 years. I intend to draw on that blank canvas, but I do not know what kind of picture it will be. I hope that God paints with me as Craypas and as oil paint. Whatever area I may work in, I want to have a good influence and provide warm comfort."
