Im Yoon-a starred in 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty' which apologized for an error in a four-character idiom.
tvN's weekend drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty noted, "There was a minor error in the Chinese character notation of '太平性代' during the first episode. The production team is aware of the situation and is currently working on corrections," adding, "We will reflect the adjustments in re-broadcasts and the VOD service as soon as they are completed. We will pay more attention to the production and verification process to ensure that such incidents do not occur again. We apologize for the confusion."
The issue arose from a flag that appeared in the first episode aired on the 23rd. This flag incorrectly displayed '太平聖大' instead of '太平聖代'. The latter means 'a peaceful world governed by a wise king,' but the character for '代' was replaced with the character for '大'.
Since it will be released to over 190 countries through Netflix, criticism has been directed at the lack of proper historical accuracy in the production of the historical drama.
This drama tells the story of chef Ji-young who time slips and meets the worst tyrant and greatest gourmet king, Lee Heon.
The web novel 'Surviving as the Chef of Lee Yonsan' is the original work, written by a collaborative author. Directed by PD Jang Tae-yoo, who also created 'Flowers Bloom at Night' (2024), the first and second episodes recorded viewership ratings of 4.9% and 6.6% (based on Nielsen Korea's data for paid households nationwide).
