A special meeting between ZEROBASEONE and Wonju will take place on Mnet's 'National Spark Tour.'
Mnet's Idol Festa Operation 'National Spark Tour' (directed by PD Jo Hye-mi) is a program based on the idea that top K-POP idol groups active on the global stage will deploy to various locations across the country, providing local residents with local specialties and performances as a one-plus-one (1+1) offering. Previously, TOMORROW X TOGETHER and NCT DREAM created a true celebration where fans and citizens became the main characters in Gwangju and Andong, respectively.
Tonight (26th, Tuesday) at 10 p.m., group ZEROBASEONE, representative of the 5th generation of K-pop, will appear as the third main character in episode 3 of 'National Spark Tour.' The members (Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Kyubin, Park Geonwook, Han Yujin) will visit Wonju in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, where beautiful natural scenery and rich cultural heritage coexist, transforming into 'One Day Wonju Corn Ambassadors' for a day, attempting to sell '990 won corn,' which serves as both Wonju's representative specialty and performance ticket.
Fans can also expect ZEROBASEONE's unique charm outside the stage. The members are expected to generate unique excitement by actively promoting by visiting local basketball teams and government offices in Wonju. During their journey throughout Wonju, viewers can expect to meet new charms of the members, from their new characters to the corn sales strategies that were not seen on stage.
In particular, the visit will be especially meaningful for Kim Jiwoong, who is from Wonju, and there are expectations as he is anticipated to meet a certain person and show a delighted reaction. Moreover, this broadcast will be packed with viewing points that are sure to make it a must-watch, including unique two-shots of the members that have not been seen anywhere else, along with the corn.
Unexpected variables also come into play. Before the performance, a sudden downpour leads to an imminent crisis. It remains to be seen whether the members, who will face a tumultuous struggle, can successfully complete the performance, and what the ZEROBASEONE's Wonju concert will look like, featuring corn cheering sticks.
