Lee Kyung-sil recalled the moment she learned about her son Son Bo-seung's premarital pregnancy.
In the episode aired on the 25th, Channel A's "Close Friend Documentary - 4-Person Table" (hereafter referred to as 4-Person Table) featured Lee Kyung-sil, who grants, inviting her close friend, chef Lee Bo-eun, and comedian Lee Su-ji to share stories.
Lee Su-ji said, "I think I've heard about the steps you need to take as a comedian, and there are things that a comedian's family experiences. The child is still unaware of whether the mother is a comedian.
Lee Kyung-sil said, "You have to be steadfast. You need to be proud. You have to train them too. After all, it's Su-ji's son." She added, "Our Bo-seung went through a tough puberty. When a mother's love is excessive and there's a lot of conversation, it seems like the puberty phase goes well. You should give your love abundantly and boost their self-esteem."
Park Kyung-rim said, "I saw the news of Bo-seung's premarital pregnancy in articles and broadcasts. I was surprised, but it must have been a big shock for you." Lee Kyung-sil responded, "There is no one like me who has been through life's ups and downs. When I heard that my son had a child, it was on a completely different level. It's something I felt powerless about."
Lee Kyung-sil continued, "Strangely, days before the pregnancy revelation, I told him, 'If something happens, just think about what you will do moving forward.' Suddenly, he said he had something to say, and I felt it then. I asked, 'Are you pregnant?' He innocently said, 'Yes.' The moment I heard that, everything went dark."
Lee Kyung-sil said, "I could only say, 'So?' He replied, 'I have to give birth.' He told me he heard the baby's heartbeat. That word also broke me down. I asked, 'Can you hear only your baby's heartbeat and not the sound of your mother's heart breaking?' I scolded him. He said he wanted to get a room, and it turned out to be a newlywed's room. I told him it was not possible, but he was completely unyielding."
Lee Kyung-sil expressed concern that young people having children might lack responsibility, but fortunately, her daughter-in-law was taking very good care of the baby. She said, "I had faith in my daughter-in-law. I set a table for her and asked her to come over for a hug. When she started crying, I said, 'It's okay now.' I told her, 'From now on, we are going to live well together. From now on, I will give you all my love.' Ever since then, we've been doing well together."
