Singer Yoon Min-soo candidly revealed the background of his divorce after 18 years of marriage.
On the 24th, Yoon Min-soo, who had a solo interview with the production team on SBS's entertainment show 'My Little Old Boy' (hereafter referred to as My Little Old Boy), shared updates after his divorce.
Yoon Min-soo noted, "The divorce article came out last year," adding, "The paperwork was finalized only about two months ago." Yoon Min-soo and his ex-wife, Ms. Kim Min-ji, were married in 2006 and had a son, Yoon Hoo, but announced their divorce in May of last year. At that time, Ms. Kim stated, "Because there is trust and faith in each other, we will do our best to be the best parents for Hoo," emphasizing a harmonious relationship.
The two attended their son's international school graduation together and continued to maintain a 'cool family relationship' by going on summer family trips. Yoon Min-soo also remarked, "When going through the divorce process, the lawyers said, 'If everyone could divorce without issues, that would be great,'" and shared, "After finishing the paperwork, we went to eat gamjatang together. While chatting about Yoon Hoo, we wrapped up the leftovers to feed our son."
He also addressed the rumors that the reason for delaying the divorce was because of their son. He explained, "It wasn't immediate, and we discussed it for quite a long time," adding, "I thought it was right after the child's growth was achieved." Regarding the reason for deciding to divorce, he cautiously stated, "It's similar for all couples. There were many ambiguous parts that couldn't be defined. Each of us had difficulties, and after solving those problems, we gradually came to a resolution."
Currently, Yoon Min-soo is looking for a new home where he can be with his son. While searching for a two-story house so that Yoon Hoo could visit during the break, he forced a smile, saying, "The upper floor can be for my son," but soon muttered, "Now, I'm alone," revealing his complicated feelings.
