Yun Min-soo, the reason for living with his ex-wife after divorce… is it ultimately due to housing issues?
On 'Running Man,' Yun Min-soo revealed that he has been living with his ex-wife even after the divorce, and mentioned intricate feelings regarding real estate issues.
On the 24th, during the SBS variety show 'My Little Old Boy,' singer Yun Min-soo shared his current situation after the divorce through an interview with the production team.
Yun Min-soo stated, "The divorce article came out last year," adding, "I divorced after 18 years of marriage." Yun Min-soo and Kim Min-ji got married in 2006 and had a son named Yun-ho, but they officially announced their divorce in May of the previous year. At that time, Kim Min-ji stated, "Because there is trust and faith in each other, we will do our best as Yun-ho's mom and dad," indicating an amicable separation.
Yun Min-soo explained, "Both of us had personal issues, so we decided to resolve those problems first and then sort things out gradually," adding, "The paperwork has only been finalized for about two months." Regarding the reason for divorce, he said, "Isn't it the same for all couples? There are many aspects that are hard to define clearly," and noted, "We got married at the young age of 25, and rather than disliking each other, we now feel like we are just friends supporting each other's lives."
In particular, Yun Min-soo drew attention by revealing, "I still contact my ex-wife and we are still living together." He candidly explained the reason for living in the same house after divorce, saying, "One of the things we need to sort out after the divorce is selling the house. If we want to live separately, we need to sort out the house, so we are still living together."
Currently, the space is completely separated, with the right side of the entrance being his ex-wife's area and the left side being Yun Min-soo's space. He clarified, "When I go home, I don't go to (my ex-wife's side). We only talk about necessary matters. Aside from topics related to Yun-ho, we have no need to communicate separately." He added, "After living together for 20 years, we now feel like just friends."
The show also featured Yun Min-soo looking for real estate after putting the house up for sale. He said, "It's not like 20 years of history comes to an end overnight," noting, "Right now, it's fine since my son is here during vacation, but if it were just the two of us without our son, it might be uncomfortable." In real estate, he received advice that it would be possible to transact around March of next year, but he was told to lower the price by about 10%. Yun Min-soo expressed concern, saying, "I need to discuss it with my ex-wife."
Meanwhile, Yun Min-soo is looking for a new house so his son can visit during the vacation. He commented, "It's almost like living alone for the first time in 20 years," and stated, "Nothing major has changed yet, but I think I will feel it gradually. The bond as a couple has ended, but as parents, we are supporting each other and doing well."
