The producer of 'Is It Worth the Meal?' revealed the aftermath of the public relationship of the cast member YouTuber KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin).
The production team of the ENA and EBA genre variety show 'Choo Sung Hoon's Is It Worth the Meal? (abbreviated as Worth the Meal)' conducted an interview on the afternoon of the 25th at the KT ENA office in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Attending the event were producers Ahn Jae-min and Song Jun-seop, who directed 'Is It Worth the Meal?', engaging in discussions about the program with domestic reporters.
'Choo Sung Hoon's Is It Worth the Meal?' is a variety show depicting a close reality survival journey where 'uncle' Choo Sung Hoon challenges extreme jobs around the world and enjoys the 'meal price' he earned through hard work. MMA fighter Choo Sung Hoon showcases his experiences with extreme jobs while traveling between China and Egypt alongside YouTuber KwakTube and comedian Lee Eun-ji.
Among them, cast member KwakTube recently attracted attention. He confessed through his personal YouTube channel that he is dating a non-celebrity woman who is younger than him. In relation to this, his agency SM C&C did not express an official position and stated it was 'unable to confirm.' However, it was revealed that KwakTube mentioned his dating status during his appearance on MBN's variety show 'Jun Hyun-moo's Project 2,' indicating that he has been in a relationship with a woman who is five years younger and an ordinary office worker for quite some time.
Song Jun-seop, who has been observing KwakTube for a long time, said, "In our broadcast, Jun-bin will be seen doing love counseling. During the filming in Egypt, Choo Sung Hoon, who is older and a life senior, gave love advice. Personally, I thought it was nice," he chuckled.
Producer Song Jun-seop, who has collaborated with KwakTube for a long period through EBS's 'Kwak Jun-bin's World Taxi Restaurant' series, had already confirmed KwakTube's participation in 'Is It Worth the Meal?' before the love confession. He jokingly remarked, "In fact, Jun-bin feels like a fixed slot for me," adding, "He's not a persona, but I'm looking for someone with a better persona than Jun-bin."
"That's how comfortable it is. He's the only entertainer I can comfortably chat with personally," he said. "We share a lot about our private lives. I never thought of anyone other than Jun-bin from the beginning. Since it's so comfortable to think about, I hoped that someone I knew well would take part. But after deciding to participate, I found out later that he hadn't informed his agency. So later, when I contacted them, the Deputy Minister in charge expressed disbelief," he chuckled.
'Choo Sung Hoon's Is It Worth the Meal?' airs every Saturday at 7:50 p.m.
