Comedian Lee Se-young revealed her past broken engagement with a Japanese boyfriend.
On the 24th, in a video released on the YouTube channel 'Namumiki Heungsinso', Lee appeared as a guest.
Lee said in response to a question from Miky Kwang-soo about her marriage plans, "I was preparing for marriage but went through a broken engagement once," revealing that she currently has no thoughts of marriage. In fact, Lee announced her relationship with a Japanese boyfriend and co-managed a YouTube channel, but they broke up after their engagement was called off.
Regarding the reasons for their breakup, Lee explained, "I was getting close to marriage, but at that time, my mother was very ill. I couldn't leave Korea, while my boyfriend had to leave, and I had to stay here," adding, "As feelings of disappointment built up and these issues weren't resolved, I felt it was unreasonable."
"We really broke up coolly. I said, 'Goodbye'," Lee noted, emphasizing, "I am not currently seeing anyone either," but also said, "If I were to meet someone now, or if I were to meet that boyfriend again, or someone completely different, I do not plan to make it public. I've realized that announcing everything to everyone isn't good."
She also shared the reactions of those around her, who thought she had divorced instead of just being engaged, saying, "They thought I was married. I recently heard someone ask, 'What about your Japanese boyfriend?'"
Additionally, Lee drew laughs with her candid remarks, including confessing about side effects after breast surgery.
