47-year-old actor Lee Taegon was more serious about fishing than marriage.
On the afternoon of the 24th, actor Lee Taegon appeared on TV Chosun's comprehensive program 'Gourmet Huh Youngman's Dining Journey.' Huh Youngman opened the show while fishing at sea with Lee Taegon.
Lee Taegon expressed his affection for fishing, saying, "I originally liked group activities, like recreational baseball, but you have to coordinate your schedules for those. Fishing allows you to go when you have free time. I think I used to stand alone on the rocky shore and think a lot. That really helped me."
He also mentioned famous anglers in the entertainment industry, saying, "Lee Deok-hwa is a given. He goes almost every day," and added, "In the past, I often went with Park Jung-chul, Ryu Dam, and Choi Philip. These days, since they got married and have kids, we can't go together anymore," expressing a hint of regret.
Moving to another spot to eat sashimi, Lee Taegon boasted about his unique skills, saying, "I've tried almost all kinds of sashimi. I catch the fish myself, and even if I mess it up, it's still my fish."
Lee Taegon revealed behind-the-scenes stories about shark fishing, saying, "I've even caught a shark. It's about 2.5 meters long. I saw its teeth with my own eyes, and if you get caught wrong, your arm could get chopped off."
In addition, Lee Taegon shared a story about drifting while fishing, saying, "I once experienced drifting. The rudder just came loose. I couldn't go anywhere. But it was in a restricted fishing zone, so no one came. I was out in the blazing sun for 8 hours until I saw an old fishing boat. Everyone stood up and waved, but those people thought we were tourists. When the siren rang, they came over. Moving with the waves was the most dangerous, but I had to do it anyway."
Lee Taegon notably revealed his extraordinary passion and love for fishing, stating that he has a separate freezer at home for fish. He said, "I have a separate freezer—it's at minus 54 degrees. I vacuum pack everything and freeze it. After about a year, I thaw it out to eat as sashimi, and it's incredibly delicious. I bought a 1.5-meter one, and it's now completely full."
In response, Huh Youngman remarked, "If you marry Lee Taegon, everything in that freezer is yours," publicly proposing on behalf of Lee Taegon, to which Lee Taegon added, "I have enough for the next three years."
