In 'My Ugly Duckling' (hereinafter referred to as 'Miusae'), singer Yoon Min-soo candidly revealed the reason he still lives with his ex-wife.
On the 24th, during the broadcast of the SBS entertainment program 'My Ugly Duckling,' the production team met with Yoon Min-soo separately and asked him about his current situation following the divorce report.
Yoon Min-soo noted, "The divorce article came out last year," adding, "We divorced after 18 years of marriage." Yoon Min-soo and his ex-wife, Kim Min-ji, married in 2006 and had a son, Yoon Hu, but announced their divorce in May of last year. At that time, Kim Min-ji stated, "We will do our best as Hu's mom and dad because we have trust and belief in each other," showing a mature attitude that garnered attention. In fact, the two have maintained a 'cool family relationship' by attending their son's international school graduation together and sharing various aspects of their daily lives, including travel.
Yoon Min-soo shared, "Each couple had their own issues, so we decided to resolve those problems first and then slowly organize things," adding, "The paperwork was only finalized about two months ago."
Regarding the reason for the divorce, he mentioned, "Like any couple, there are many ambiguous parts that are hard to exactly define," and added, "I got married at a young age of 25, and it's not that we disliked each other too much, but rather we have become like friends after the divorce. It feels like we're supporting each other's lives."
Above all, Yoon Min-soo confessed, "I still keep in touch with my ex-wife and we are still living together," surprising everyone. He continued, "There are many things to organize after the divorce, one of which was the house sale issue. We have to organize things to live separately, so we are still living together," explaining the reason they are living as 'two families under one roof.'
Currently, he mentioned that he is living in a separate space from his wife. However, during the filming that day, when the light bulb in Yoon Min-soo's room went out, he called for his ex-wife, saying, "Do we have any spare bulbs?" and a humorous incident occurred where his voice did not reach her due to the distance.
When asked how he communicates with his ex-wife, Yoon Min-soo replied, "We only discuss what is necessary. Especially, we don't have any conversations apart from topics related to Yoon Hu," conveying calmly.
