On the 23rd, the KBS 2TV entertainment program 'Mr. House Husband Season 2' (abbreviated 'Mr. House Husband') aired, depicting the daily life of the Park Seo-jin family, who moved to their new house in Samcheok, and Ji Sang-ryeol's story as the daily manager for his close friend Yeom Kyung-hwan. This broadcast recorded a 5.4% rating nationwide according to Nielsen Korea, with the scene where Ji Sang-ryeol received a surprise live shopping appearance proposal from Yeom Kyung-hwan showing a peak rating of 6.2%.
This achievement is particularly significant as it comes in a time slot that had been struggling with low ratings. Despite fierce competition against weekend blockbuster dramas, 'Mr. House Husband' maintained a stable flow thanks to its solid viewership base and continued buzz, even putting a brake on the rising trend of competing dramas at the same time. Thus, 'Mr. House Husband' proved its unwavering presence despite the programming changes, showcasing that it remains KBS's representative entertainment and a strong contender in the Saturday night home theater.
In that day's opening, Park Seo-jin started with the performance of 'The Broken Wall Clock' and emphasized again that the broadcasting time had changed to 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, demonstrating a 'publicity fairy' sense. Along with this, special guest Lee Hyun of Baby Don't Cry said, "'Mr. House Husband' is my meal friend. I especially feel a sense of closeness with Hyun-jung unni. I loved it so much that we did a diet together while watching."
Next, a video of Park Seo-jin was revealed. Last year, Park Seo-jin built a new house in Samcheok for his parents and showcased his first day living in the 150-pyeong mansion. The Park Seo-jin family brought joyful laughter from their very first day in the new house, bickering playfully.
