NewJeans' mega-hit song 'Ditto' has surpassed 800 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
According to Spotify on the 24th, 'Ditto', a track from NewJeans' (Minji, Hanni, Daniel, HAEIN, Hayun) single album 'OMG', accumulated 800,010,018 plays as of the 22nd. This is the second track by NewJeans to reach 800 million streams, following the album's title song 'OMG'.
Released on December 19, 2022, 'Ditto' is a song that reinterprets the Baltimore club dance music genre with NewJeans' unique sensibility, characterized by dreamy humming, warm sounds, and the members' soothing vocals. NewJeans entered the U.S. Billboard Main Song Chart 'Hot 100' and the U.K. Official 'Singles Top 100' just six months after debuting with this song.
'Ditto' also set a remarkable record on the domestic major music site Melon, ranking first for 99 days and 14 weeks consecutively on the daily and weekly charts, respectively, securing the top spot on Melon's comprehensive annual chart for 2023.
