SM Entertainment (hereafter SM) affiliated groups aespa, RIIZE, NCT WISH, Hearts2Hearts, and trainees from SMTR25 are making headlines as they gear up for the '2025 TIMA' in China.
'2025 TIMA (TMElive International Music Awards)' is a large-scale music awards ceremony hosted by Tencent Music Entertainment Group, China's largest music platform, and will take place over two days on August 22-23 at Galaxy Arena in Macau. On the 22nd, aespa, RIIZE, and Hearts2Hearts attended, while NCT WISH and SMTR25 participated on the 23rd.
At this awards ceremony, aespa delivered hit tracks like 'Dirty Work,' 'Whiplash,' 'Supernova,' and the dreamy 'Flights, Not Feelings,' along with 'Thirsty.' RIIZE captivated audiences with their energetic performances of 'Fly Up,' 'Boom Boom Bass,' 'Get A Guitar,' the addictive hip-hop vibe 'Bag Bad Back,' the emotional 'Love 119,' and a charismatic cover of EXO's 'Monster.'
NCT WISH showcased a variety of charms with refreshing performances of 'Surf,' 'poppop,' the dynamic and powerful 'Dunk Shot,' 'NASA,' 'Hands Up,' and 'Melt Inside My Pocket.' Hearts2Hearts presented a mysterious ambiance with 'The Chase,' a positive energy-filled stage with 'STYLE,' and a vibrant cover of Girls' Generation's 'Gee.' SMTR25 made a strong impression with a tribute performance celebrating SM's 30th anniversary that had previously garnered attention at the 'SMTOWN LIVE 2025' concert, along with a cover of EXO's 'Wolf.'
Additionally, aespa achieved a total of three awards for 'International Group of the Year,' 'International Digital Album of the Year,' and 'International Digital EP of the Year.' RIIZE received the award for 'Breakthrough International Group of the Year,' while NCT WISH won 'Rising International Group of the Year,' further underscoring their popularity on a global scale.
Meanwhile, aespa will release their sixth mini-album 'Rich Man' on September 5, while RIIZE is currently in the midst of their first world tour 'RIIZING LOUD,' and NCT WISH will make a comeback with their third mini-album 'COLOR' on September 1.
