Singer Enok has left the role of MC on 'Sokpulri Show Dongchimi' just over four months after joining.
On the 23rd, during the broadcast of MBN's 'Sokpulri Show Dongchimi' (hereinafter 'Dongchimi'), Kim Yong-man announced that MC Enok and actress Kim Young-ok were stepping down.
Kim Yong-man said, "I have to temporarily leave 'Dongchimi' to focus on my main job."
Enok said, "I really feel I have received a lot of love. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the production team and many seniors. I want to say thank you very much."
He continued, "I will strive to become a wonderful artist who approaches the viewers with an even better and more diverse appearance in the future."
Kim Young-ok, who is leaving along with Enok, said, "I loved 'Dongchimi' so much, and I had a lot of fun with you all. I was happy to be able to talk joyfully about our lives."
Previously, in April, Enok was selected as the new MC for 'Dongchimi' after Park Su-hong and Choi Eun-kyung stepped down after 13 years. 'Dongchimi', which first aired in November 2012, was hosted by Park Su-hong and Choi Eun-kyung, who were hosting MBC's 'Happy Time!' at the time, and has run for 13 years, establishing itself as a long-running program.
However, the 'Dongchimi' production team notified Park Su-hong and Choi Eun-kyung, who were credited as major contributors at the show's inception, that they would be stepping down due to program restructuring. This decision for MC changes was made as part of the 30th anniversary restructuring.
In April, Enok, Kim Yong-man, and Lee Hyun-yi were selected as the new MCs for 'Dongchimi' to lead the program. However, Enok stepped down after just over four months.
