Singer Kim Jong-kook purchased a luxury villa worth 6 billion won for his newlywed home entirely in cash.
Kim Jong-kook appeared as a guest on the web entertainment show 'Kangsyan' which was revealed through YouTube on the 23rd. During this occasion, Kim Jong-kook met model Lee Si-an and shared updates about himself.
Notably, Lee Si-an, at the filming site, expressed curiosity to Kim Jong-kook saying, "I heard new news about you, sunbae. I heard you became the owner of a 6.2 billion won building." In response, Kim Jong-kook stated, "I am not a building owner. I bought a house. It is for living, not for investment."
In fact, Kim Jong-kook attracted attention by purchasing a luxury villa located in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 6.2 billion won. After the purchase of the dwelling, speculation arose that this was not unrelated to rumors of marriage.
Recently, it was revealed that Kim Jong-kook's luxury villa in Nonhyeon-dong would be his newlywed home when he announced his marriage. Kim Jong-kook directly explained the background behind preparing the newlywed home on 'Kangsyan.'
When asked by Lee Si-an, "Did you buy it entirely in cash?" Kim Jong-kook subtly replied, "Because I don't want to pay interest." He further emphasized, "I don't engage in financial strategies. I have never had the fortune to earn 'extra money' in my life. Even when I try to engage in financial strategies, it doesn't work out, so I just save the money I earn from working. I absolutely don't recommend doing it my way. I recommend that everyone engages in financial strategies wisely. For me, now, being healthy is my investment."
On another note, Kim Jong-kook plans to hold a private wedding ceremony on Friday, September 5, with only family and close acquaintances at a location in Seoul.
