Actress Son Ye-jin is attracting attention with her close relationship with the child actor from 'No Other Choice.'
Recently, Son Ye-jin has starred in director Park Chan-wook's new film 'No Other Choice,' which is set to be released in September. In this context, her connection with the child actor who plays her on-screen child is gaining attention.
On Dec. 28, last year, the mother of child actor Choi So-yul from 'No Other Choice' posted a photo on her daughter's official account, saying, "Thank you," featuring Choi So-yul happily holding an 'Aurora World' toy that she received as a gift from Son Ye-jin.
In this regard, Choi So-yul's mother expressed that "Santa couldn't get this Aurora World toy, but actress Son Ye-jin got it for us" and noted, "She is just light. The best Christmas gift."
In fact, the toy had previously been reported to be in high demand among children, causing a shortage. It was later revealed that Son Ye-jin personally gifted the toy to the child actor she starred with in the film.
Coincidentally, Son Ye-jin recently faced malicious rumors that she neglected child actors on the set of 'No Other Choice.' During a production presentation for 'No Other Choice,' actor Lee Byung-hun, who starred alongside her in the film, teased her for not answering the questions from the child actors.
The issue is that this sparked negative comments aimed at Son Ye-jin on various short-form videos, including production presentation footage. In this context, an old SNS post revealing the closeness between Son Ye-jin and the child actor has come back into focus.
'No Other Choice' tells the story of a corporate worker, Mansoo (Lee Byung-hun), who feels that life has been fulfilling and who suddenly gets fired. To protect his wife, Miri (Son Ye-jin), and their two children, he prepares for his own battle for reemployment in order to keep the difficult-to-acquire home they have. It is set to be released on Sept. 24.
