Singer Ailee and actor Choi Si-hoon have built a happy home amid malicious rumors, revealing their newlywed house for the first time.
On the 23rd, in the 8th episode of season 5 of the MBN entertainment show 'Let's Go Go', Ailee and Choi Si-hoon appeared and revealed their newlywed home with a neat and modern interior for the first time on air. They captured the viewers' hearts with various stories, including behind-the-scenes of their wedding and confessions about the difficult rumors.
MC Ahn Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee received an invitation to Ailee and Choi Si-hoon's newlywed house along with Brian and Im Na-young. In the couple's house, which features a neat and stylish white interior, the MCs, along with Brian and Im Na-young, presented a housewarming gift expressing their gratitude for the invitation.
Afterward, as the home tour commenced, when asked about the view by the MCs, Ailee said, 'My mother-in-law lives in the building in front of us,' revealing that the reason they moved here was because of her mother-in-law. Ailee added, 'This is my husband's old neighborhood. If you wave your hand, you can actually see my mother' and expressed her gratitude, saying, 'My mother sends a lot of side dishes as well.'
As they moved to another area of Ailee and Choi Si-hoon's home, the MCs, Brian, and Im Na-young admired the tidy space and asked, 'Have you never fought over cleaning?' Ailee replied, 'My husband is very tidy too. That's really nice. He even sits down when he uses the bathroom,' satisfying the cleanliness-loving Brian. Not only Choi Si-hoon but also Ahn Jung-hwan mentioned, 'I sit down too,' receiving applause from tidy Ailee and Brian.
Then, while conversing, Ailee surprised everyone by revealing, 'We are planning for a second child. I plan to turn this room into a future children's room,' adding, 'Even the corners of the room are all smooth.' In response, Hong Hyun-hee confessed, 'When I saw the (arched) door, I thought it looked like a children's room,' and Ahn Jung-hwan complimented, 'You did a great job on the interior.'
Later, while exploring the main bedroom, the MCs, along with Brian and Im Na-young, watched a video of the couple's wedding. The nervous groom Choi Si-hoon in the video contrasted with the excited bride Ailee, bringing smiles, prompting Hong Hyun-hee to ask, 'Did you purposely make it more festive and fun?' To which Ailee replied, 'Yes. I thought I would cry since both my parents have passed away. So I wanted to have the wedding like a party abroad.'
Ailee continued, 'I was very worried and sad about having a wedding without my parents.' She added, 'But my mother-in-law said, 'I'll take care of you just like your real mom, so you won't feel like anything is missing.' I was very grateful,' which brought tears to everyone's eyes.
Afterward, the MCs unexpectedly discovered Choi Si-hoon's sensitive side and asked Ailee, 'Has your husband ever cried?' Ailee replied, 'Yes. We fought over trivial things, and it seemed to upset him. He ended up sobbing while drinking at the table,' bringing laughter.
After the home tour, the MCs, along with Brian and Im Na-young, continued the conversation while eating the food prepared by Ailee and Choi Si-hoon. The MCs asked Choi Si-hoon, 'How did you end up appearing on 'Single's Inferno' when you are so introverted?' Choi Si-hoon explained, 'I originally did acting. At that time, I was on social media, and offers naturally came in. Since I was acting at that time, it wasn't difficult to interact with people, so it happened naturally.'
Then the MCs asked carefully, 'You must have received a lot of love, but it seems like you endured some hardships with the rumors.' Choi Si-hoon replied, 'It was really hard,' adding, 'I spent time alone sitting in the corner of the underground parking lot. I started smoking again. It was difficult to prove that I 'did not do' what I did not do.'
Choi Si-hoon continued, 'At that time, since I was doing it alone, I didn't know how to cope. So it was even harder,' and shared, 'Because of those experiences, I distanced myself from acting. I received too many emotional scars from people.' Ailee revealed, 'My husband wished he could live without garnering people's attention, but unfortunately, after meeting me, it happened again.' She continued, 'We went on our honeymoon, and new rumors spread, causing stress. But at that time, we were together.' Choi Si-hoon expressed, 'Even without doing anything, there are many tough things in the entertainment industry, and I feel sorry for causing tough times because of me.'
