Actor Jin Tae-hyun revealed his current state of recovery with his adoptive daughter after thyroid cancer surgery.
On the afternoon of the 24th, Jin Tae-hyun posted daily photos taken with his wife Park Si-eun on his personal social media along with a lengthy message.
"When will summer come? Everyone, please be careful of the heat," he began, stating, "My wife and I are in Daegwallyeong and Jeju in summer and winter." He mentioned, "The bonus of traveling is being able to train hard with our adoptive daughter as a marathon runner at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office. We have been a family for nearly a year, starting to eat together and take care of each other. This summer, she joined us again at the training site in Hoenggye, following last winter."
He continued, "It is truly a blessing to give attention and love to someone and to share life together. I am thankful for the little efforts she makes to grow into a good adult after meeting us. I am also relieved that her running skills are gradually improving. However, I pray that she becomes a cooler marathon runner by trying harder, showing more restraint, and isolating herself a bit more. I know very well that one cannot achieve even a hint of success by doing what everyone else does, so I have found a perfect stepfather."
Referring to his adoptive daughter Han Ji-hye, he said, "I plan to support her on her arduous journey as an elite marathon runner until her retirement. Of course, that's only when we both are doing well," and he urged support for Korean athletics. Jin Tae-hyun emphasized, "Elite athletes have done nothing but running since they were young, so they cannot leave behind running, which is their entire life, regardless of their performance. So if we support them, perhaps they can enjoy running, which is their entire life, just a little more."
He added, "My body is still recovering after the surgery. I want to recover perfectly soon, love my wife even more, work hard on filming, and run beautifully at a four-minute pace again."
Jin Tae-hyun married fellow actor Park Si-eun in 2015. The couple has received public support for their continuous volunteer activities and for adopting their first daughter, Davida. In 2022, Park Si-eun suffered a miscarriage just 20 days before giving birth to their second child, raising concerns. Since then, the couple has been adopting two daughters and providing financial support. Recently, Jin Tae-hyun has been recovering after undergoing surgery following his thyroid cancer diagnosis.

Hello, this is Jin Tae-hyun.
When will summer come?
Everyone, please be careful of the heat.
My wife and I are in Daegwallyeong and Jeju in summer and winter.
Sometimes we go back and forth to Seoul for about a month or a few weeks.
We always leave the city to avoid the heat or cold.
The bonus of traveling is being able to train hard with our adoptive daughter at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office
It has been almost a year since we started to eat together and take care of each other as a family. This summer, she joined us again at the training site in Hoenggye, following last winter.
I am truly thankful to give and share attention and love with others. That is all I have learned from God. I am grateful for the little efforts she makes to grow into a good adult after meeting us, and I am also relieved that her running skills are gradually improving. However, I pray that she becomes a cooler marathon runner by trying harder, showing more restraint, and isolating herself a bit more. I know very well that one cannot achieve even a hint of success by doing what everyone else does, so I have found a perfect stepfather.
It is quite amazing and good that our adoptive daughter, who is a marathon runner at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office, is part of the couple ambassador actors
Our Han Ji-hye is our adoptive daughter.
I plan to support her on her arduous journey as an elite marathon runner until her retirement. Of course, that's only when we both are doing well. ^^ Please support everyone and show your support for Korean track and field athletes.
Since elite athletes have done nothing but running from childhood until now, they cannot leave behind running, which is their entire life, regardless of their performance. So I believe if we support them, they might enjoy running, their entire life, just a little more.
At training sites, I often see younger athletes, who feel like siblings, daughters, and sons, secretly crying or struggling in a corner. I often think of myself when I was just a minor actor, which wasn't significant at all. They have to go through things to grow, but if we show a little interest, there will likely be many great "real" track stars in Korea.
The message was long.
My body is still recovering after surgery.
I want to recover perfectly soon,
love my wife even more, work hard on filming,
and run beautifully at a four-minute pace again.
But I will take it step by step.
We are approaching fall.
In the end, this is the story of our couple who share life together.
Thank you.
