Jeong Il-woo shocked everyone with an unexpected breakup on his wedding day.
In the episode of KBS 2TV's weekend drama 'Our Golden Days' (directed by Kim Hyung-seok / written by Seo Hyun-kyeong / produced by Studio Coming Soon, Studio Bom, Monster Union) that aired on the 23rd, the preparations for Lee Ji-hyuk's (played by Jeong Il-woo) wedding were progressing rapidly, but a twist occurred when the bride Jeong Bo-ah (played by Go Won-hee) did not appear on the wedding day.
In the broadcast that day, the family had questions for Ji-hyuk, who made a sudden marriage announcement. The father, Lee Sang-cheol (played by Cheon Ho-jin), who had been skeptical of his son's previous commitment to not marry, expressed his distrust, but Lee Soo-bin (played by Shin Soo-hyun) and Lee Ji-wan (played by Son Sang-yeon) felt relieved upon learning that the bride was the only daughter of Hanul Construction, Bo-ah.
Sang-cheol put his doubts aside and eventually attended the first meeting of the bride and groom's families. However, when Bo-ah's father revealed that the wedding was scheduled for two weeks later, along with the preparations for the newlywed home and gifts, Sang-cheol and Kim Da-jung (played by Kim Hee-jung) could not hide their shock. Although their pride was hurt, they set it aside when they believed their son truly loved Bo-ah.
Meanwhile, Ji Eun-oh (played by Jung In-sun) was commissioned by Ko Seong-hee (played by Lee Tae-ran) for an expensive interior design project. Eun-oh, surprised by Seong-hee's demand for a design fee of 30 million won in addition to the high investment, felt grateful and regarded her as a benefactor.
After finishing the first meeting, Ji-hyuk continued with the wedding preparations while distributing invitations. He personally handed his invitation to Park Seong-jae (played by Yoon Hyun-min) along with the news of his marriage. Seong-jae, who had not genuinely accepted Ji-hyuk's decision, could not hide his concern as he received the invitation, asking, "Aren't you going to regret this?"
Ji-hyuk's shocking marriage news also reached Eun-oh. Convinced that Ji-hyuk's real reason for saying he was 'not suited' for her in the past was due to financial conditions, Eun-oh met him at a café, expressing her disappointment and trying to sort out her feelings. Later, Eun-oh distanced herself from Seong-jae, who came to check on her, complicating the relationship among the three.
Ultimately, Eun-oh headed to the wedding venue to put an end to her long-standing unrequited love. Seong-jae personally went to pick her up, gauging her mood. She said calmly, "I feel refreshed," but wiped the sweat from her hands upon seeing Ji-hyuk in his wedding attire, desperately trying to hide her emotions.
At the end of the broadcast, the wedding ceremony began, but the bride Bo-ah did not show up. Amid the restless atmosphere in the venue, a text arrived on Ji-hyuk's phone stating, "I'm sorry, I'm going to him." The shocking ending for Ji-hyuk, upon discovering this, left the home viewers breathless.
Viewers who watched the broadcast reacted passionately, saying things like, "I hope Ji-hyuk ends up well, but it keeps getting tangled, which is unfortunate," "The pride between father and son is identical. It's like a copied line," "These days, dramas are often sensational, but this one is realistic and relatable, making it even more enjoyable," "The actors' performances are so good that I'm engrossed. Especially today, Jung In-sun's emotional acting...," "Yoon Hyun-min is so handsome. He looks great in anything," "What's with the pacing of the story? Time flies," and "What will Ji-hyuk do if the wedding gets called off?"
