Lee Jeong-woo visited Goseong, Gangwon Province, to go skin diving for the first time in 7 years.
In the episode of MBC's Home Alone (hereafter referred to as 'Home Alone'), which aired on the 22nd, Lee Jeong-woo was depicted as he left for a scuba diving adventure in the blue sea of Goseong, Gangwon Province.
On that day, Code Kunst expressed his delight towards Lee Jeong-woo, saying, 'It's great to see you. Everyone said they wouldn't come.' In response, Lee Jeong-woo clarified the rumors about leaving Home Alone, mentioning that during his last palm oil trip, he had said goodbye along with marriage news. He stated, 'My mom said, 'Should I send flowers?' She thought it was over too. I can do it until I get married.'
In the following video, Lee Jeong-woo cut open his bag with a knife and checked his skin scuba gear. He mentioned that he hadn't looked at the gear for about 7 years, saying, 'I can repair it, so I'm just going to take it and check it out.'
Lee Jeong-woo explained, 'I started scuba diving in 2013 and was completely obsessed with it for 5 years. I loved the sea when I was young. In my 20s, I would sit by the sea and do nothing.'
Lee Jeong-woo, who liked water since his 20s, also has a yacht license. He stated, 'I got the instructor and trainer certification,' adding, 'I did it almost every day for 5 years. You need to dive more than 300 times to get the instructor qualification,' which surprised many.
He continued, 'Naturally, I ended up pursuing the instructor certification. I got it back then, but as my work increased, I forgot the romance of sitting by the beach at some point. That's when I put scuba diving aside.'
After retrieving the equipment he hadn't used for 7 years, Lee Jeong-woo arrived in Goseong, where he met actors Ha Jae-sook and Lee Jun-haeng. Lee Jeong-woo is acquaintances with Ha Jae-sook, who runs a diving shop in Goseong with her husband, as they both obtained their scuba diving certifications together in the past.
Lee Jeong-woo said, 'She is the noona with whom I got my open water certification. We practiced in the pool and decided to go to Jeju Island. The first time we entered the sea, we were together every day afterward. For several years, whenever I asked, 'Noona, are we going?' she would unconditionally go to the sea without even booking accommodations, just sleeping in the car and diving all day long, floating and playing at the beach for 5 hours. I loved that. We did that all the time. People said we were crazy for how much we loved the sea,' expressing his unique affection for the ocean.
