The band Dragon Pony confirmed their presence as a 'prepared band' on L1VE WIRE.
Dragon Pony (Ahn Tae-kyu, Pyeon Seong-hyeon, Kwon Se-hyeok, Ko Gang-hun) showcased their colorful charm by perfectly performing their new song, a tribute song for the two MCs, and a cover stage on Mnet's L1VE WIRE, which aired on the 22nd.
That day, Dragon Pony opened the show for L1VE WIRE with their recently released digital single 'Earth Boy.' Their powerful vocals and intricate performance exploded with the energy of imperfect youth, overwhelming the audience.
In the subsequent talk, Dragon Pony showcased warm chemistry with their agency senior and MC Jung Jae-hyung. They captured attention by sharing a behind-the-scenes story about the song 'Pity Punk' from their first EP 'POP UP,' saying, "It was the first song I shared with senior Jung Jae-hyung."
Meanwhile, Dragon Pony performed an impromptu original song titled 'I want to call you brother' exclusively for the two MCs. The witty lyrics added to their sweet vocals were impressive. Upon hearing this, Jung Jae-hyung remarked, "I liked it very much. It's touching," and praised, "Antenna's blood flows in it."
Dragon Pony also presented a different charm by arranging BLACKPINK's 'JUMP' for a band version. They encouraged audience participation by saying, "Please get up and enjoy the stage," creating a vibrant atmosphere with their laid-back stage manners.
Finally, Dragon Pony confessed their fandom by stating, "I usually find a lot of comfort in listening to music. It's such an honor to see this stage," and they nominated Sunwoo Junga for a relay. Dragon Pony reinterpreted Sunwoo Junga's 'Burst it all,' infusing it with their own style. The original artist, Sunwoo Junga, praised them, saying, "This is so good. I should have given you this song," while MC Code Kunst affectionately referred to Dragon Pony as 'the prepared kids.'
Meanwhile, Dragon Pony was recognized for their musicality by winning the 'Rookie Band Award' at their debut first music awards ceremony held on the 21st. They are set to perform at key domestic festival stages such as the '2025 Let's Rock Festival' on September 7, the '2025 Busan International Rock Festival' on September 28, and the 'Grand Mint Festival 2025' on October 19, continuing their journey as 'rookies in the K-band scene.'
