'The Jun Hyun-moo Project 2' showed Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube enjoying a day trip to Daebudo with actor Jeong Seong-il.
In the 43rd episode aired on the 22nd (Friday), the realistic street food documentary 'The Jun Hyun-moo Project 2' (co-produced by MBN and Channel S) featured Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) visiting Daebudo, a 'one-day seaside travel hotspot', to find unique eateries. They explored local dishes including 'Bagoji', 'Mookbap' restaurants, and 'the ultimate summer health dish', a Flounder restaurant, offering fresh information and cheerful laughter.
On that day, Jun Hyun-moo, who arrived at Daebudo, said, "This is a seaside travel course just one hour away from Seoul. With plenty of food and a romantic atmosphere at 200%," signaling the start of their seaside eating trip. He continued, "Today's first meal isn't soup, but 'Bagoji'. It's clam spicy stew, a combination I've never heard of before," prompting them to move quickly. Soon, the two settled at a 'Bagoji' restaurant, and Jun Hyun-moo lamented, "I only go to famous restaurants with you." Kwak Tube revealed, "I've learned a lot (about restaurants) and have been on many dates," indicating he has a girlfriend. A startled Jun Hyun-moo kept drinking 'Ggansengsu' and shortly after bombarded Kwak Tube with questions about his girlfriend. Kwak Tube described his girlfriend, saying, "She's an office worker and five years younger than me," creating envy from Jun Hyun-moo.
Feeling hungry, Jun Hyun-moo filled his stomach with 'Bagoji' and also ordered 'Sotbap'. Even during their food segment, Jun Hyun-moo kept bombarding Kwak Tube with questions like, "I think you would come here with your girlfriend," and "Do you usually fight with your girlfriend?" to which Kwak Tube cheerfully replied, "I don't fight with her. I concede everything."
Then, Kwak Tube launched a counterattack, asking, "How did you handle public relationships?" and Jun Hyun-moo coolly acknowledged, "I've been through a lot of these jokes," adding to the laughter. Shortly after, Jun Hyun-moo stated, "Today's 'eating friend' rarely appears on entertainment shows and is the original pick of writer Kim Eun-sook," as they went to meet actor Jeong Seong-il. Jeong Seong-il commented, "I get really shy and have a case of variety show nausea," yet added, "Still, today I'm eating…" expressing an unexpected charm.
The three headed to a 'Mook restaurant' known for its daily Mook dishes. There, they relished a 'Mook course' from acorn cold Mook and acorn Mook salad to acorn seafood pancake, quickly finishing all the food. Watching Jeong Seong-il's storm of eating, Jun Hyun-moo marveled, "You really eat well. When eating, you don't even look at us at all," and Jeong Seong-il admitted, "I genuinely love eating. I tend to eat a lot."
The three concluded their first round with 'Mook', then set out for the summer's best health dish, a Flounder restaurant, to replenish their energy exhausted by the heat. When side dishes of grilled mackerel appeared, they grabbed it with their hands and tore into it, and when the spicy Flounder soup arrived, it caused a 'dilation of pupils'. Jeong Seong-il stated, "This is the first time I've eaten such Flounder," and did not put down his spoon, while Kwak Tube praised him, saying, "Your eating habits are similar to Kim Jun-hyun's," praising his great appetite.
During this time, Jun Hyun-moo asked Jeong Seong-il about his debut days. Jeong Seong-il recounted, "I dropped out of my university in my first year and impulsively moved to Seoul, going to Daehangno. While working as a stage actor, I tried every part-time job I could do by driving," revealing a photo from 20 years ago. He continued, "To be honest, I also had part-time work after 'The Glory' aired. I received a settlement at that time, but it wasn't a lot of money for me. I had to live, so I also did part-time work," surprising everyone. Fortunately, Jeong Seong-il shared, "Now my income has increased to a level where I don't need to work part-time," which relieved Jun Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube. During their deep conversation, Jun Hyun-moo analyzed, "The amazing thing is, while talking, Jeong Seong-il is eating all by himself. Of the people I've seen this year, he eats the best," causing a burst of laughter.
As the 'Daebudo Eating Trip' with laughter and emotion came to an end, the second part of the 'one-day seaside trip' to 'Ganghwa-do' will be broadcast on the 29th (Friday) at 9:10 p.m. on 'The Jun Hyun-moo Project 2', co-produced by MBN and Channel S.
