The identities of the 15 winners of the 'Seoul Music Awards', ranging from Park Myung-Soo to Yoon Do-Hyun and Lee Jeok, have all been revealed.
In the MBC entertainment program 'How Do You Play?', which aired on the afternoon of the 23rd, the preliminary winners of the '80s Seoul Music Awards' finally gathered in one place to reveal their identities.
First, the teams behind the screen, including Gongjak Sangga, Dong-A Planning, and Jongno Bookstore, showcased their charming voices while singing Jo Deok-Bae's 'If You Come Into My Heart.' Gongjak Sangga was, as expected by everyone, Park Myung-Soo; Dong-A Planning was Ha Dong-Kyun, and Jongno Bookstore was Wooz.
Wooz, who finished his military service and was discharged last July, stated, "It has been about 24 days since I was discharged. I filmed a video of myself singing the day after my discharge."
When asked about his feelings after creating a reverse trend even during his military break with 'Drowning', Wooz said, "I'm overwhelmed with emotion. I feel lucky, and I've been busy these days."
Park Myung-Soo, who was initially on hold but later accepted, responded to a question about whether he felt bad saying, "I didn't feel bad. I feel like I wouldn't be able to say I passed if it were me. I usually like Dong-Kyun, and Wooz is a rising generation singer. I was happy to sing together."
Next, Namsan Tower, Jamsu Bridge, and Nakwon Sangga sang Cho Yong-Pil's 'Friend,' captivating the ears with their deep and rich voices. The identity of Namsan Tower was revealed to be Park Young-Kyu, Jamsu Bridge was revealed to be Jannabi's Choi Jeong-Hoon, and Nakwon Sangga was revealed to be Jeong Seong-Hwa.
Jeong Seong-Hwa stated, "I was extremely nervous during the preliminaries. Since I grew up listening to songs from the 80s, I wanted to sing a song I know well. I practiced a lot, but when I actually sang, I got so nervous."
Yoo Jae-Seok praised Choi Jeong-Hoon, saying, "He has a voice perfectly suited for the Seoul Music Awards," and previously guessed he looked like he was in his 40s, asking, "Did you intentionally dress young today?" Choi Jeong-Hoon responded, "Yes, because my gestures give it away," causing laughter.
The third team, consisting of Midopa Department Store, Sangbong Terminal, and New York Confectionery, chose Lee Ji-Yeon's 'I Still Don't Know Love' and showcased their refreshing singing skills. Following that, the identities of the participants were revealed, with Midopa Department Store being RalRal, Sangbong Terminal being Mamamoo's Solar, and New York Confectionery being IVE's Liz.
Liz, born in 2004, shared, "I had some difficulty choosing a song. Still, there are many songs that my mother likes. She likes seniors Lee Sun-Hee and Lee Moon-Sae." Additionally, Park Young-Kyu and Park Myung-Soo were charmed by Solar's voice and teased each other about wanting to duet with her, bringing laughter.
The next team, consisting of Olympic Boulevard, 3rd Han River Bridge, and Marronnier Park, chose Sinchon Blues' 'Regret' and presented a perfect harmony.
Lee Jeok stated, "I came because it's the '80s. Since I don't study anything new, I thought I could just sing the music I enjoyed when I was young. There aren't many opportunities to sing songs from the '80s like this," and added, "It feels nice to be back as a participant after judging at other music competitions, having last sung 'Apgujeong Nallari' with Yoo Jae-Seok 14 years ago."
Finally, Sundori, the Rolling Pin Boy, and Pimatgol showcased their explosive vocal power while singing 'Watercolor on a Rainy Day.' The identities of the last winners were also revealed: Sundori is DinDin, the Rolling Pin Boy is Lee Jun-Young, and Pimatgol is Yoon Do-Hyun, garnering a hot reaction.
In particular, the preview for next week, revealed at the end of the broadcast, featured a surprise appearance by Kim Hee-Ae, raising expectations.
