He stated, "At first, I believed that the truth would come out with time. However, unverified stories have been increasingly distorted and amplified, and now it has reached a point where not only I but also my family and loved ones are hurt. Particularly, the false claims related to school violence lack any factual basis or evidence, and the act of creating multiple accounts on social media to repeat the same claims constitutes clear malicious harassment."
In particular, Yoo Yi-soo emphasized, "I clearly state that the absurd claims of 'school violence perpetrator' and 'past work at entertainment establishments' are not true," and he appealed, stating, "These claims have spread across various social media platforms based on emotional appeals and distorted memories without any evidence, causing me to endure critical gazes and harsh stares from many people."
He added, "The accounts related to this matter have been deleted after Meta judged that they could be involved in crimes such as defamation and the spreading of false information, indicating that external organizations also view this matter seriously, as simple reports do not lead to deletion. Furthermore, spreading baseless speculative comments about my personal information through specific accounts and disseminating false claims that I worked at entertainment establishments, along with threats demanding money, is now at an unignorable level."
He shared photos of the complaint and stated, "To rectify this matter, I am officially proceeding with a criminal complaint in collaboration with a law firm, and I have already secured additional testimonies from many alumni in the process. The investigative agency is handling the case strictly, and I will hold responsible for all dissemination of false information and threats and respond resolutely going forward."
