Lim Young-woong's episode of "Immortal Songs" is set to meet viewers only through the live broadcast, without a replay and VOD service.
According to OSEN's coverage on the 23rd, KBS2's "Immortal Songs" will not provide a replay and VOD service for the upcoming special "Lim Young-woong and Friends," scheduled to air on the 30th and September 6th.
The "Immortal Songs - Lim Young-woong and Friends Special" was recorded on the 18th at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul. The recruitment of the judging panel, which ran for six days from the 8th to the 14th, received approximately 9,000 applications through the official website and app, proving an unprecedented level of enthusiasm.
The "Immortal Songs - Lim Young-woong and Friends Special" featured fellow artists who have a long relationship with Lim Young-woong. In part one, singer Lee Jeok, band No Brand, and former goalkeeper-turned-broadcaster Jeon Jong-hyuk appeared, while part two's recording included singers Lyn, Roy Kim, Choi Yu-ri, and Jo Jae-joong.
"Immortal Songs" has traditionally been conducted in a competition format, but the "Lim Young-woong and Friends Special" was held primarily with singing and talk, featuring top-tier artists with musicality and popularity in special collaboration stages with Lim Young-woong.
Part one of the "Immortal Songs - Lim Young-woong and Friends Special" is set to air on the 30th, and part two is scheduled for September 6th. As it can only be viewed on KBS2 without any replay or VOD service, it promises a performance that viewers absolutely cannot miss.
Meanwhile, Lim Young-woong will release his second regular album "IM HERO2" on the 29th, approximately 3 years and 2 months later. The agency noted that this album will be produced in the form of an "album book" containing photographs rather than in CD format, considering environmental issues and the burden on fans. Additionally, a nationwide concert tour will start in Incheon in October.
