Home Alone's Lee Jang-woo revealed his unique affection for the sea.
On the 22nd broadcast of the MBC entertainment show Home Alone (hereafter 'Home Alone'), Lee Jang-woo was depicted going scuba diving in the blue sea of Goseong, Gangwon Province.
On that day, Lee Jang-woo drew attention by suddenly cutting his bag with a knife. What he took out from the bag was none other than scuba diving equipment. Lee Jang-woo, who said he had pulled it out after seven years, noted, "I'm going to take it and check it out since I can repair it," and drove off to somewhere.
Lee Jang-woo, who has loved water since his 20s, even obtained a yacht certification, showcasing his unique love for the water. He recalled, "I started scuba diving in 2013 and went completely crazy for it over the five years. I loved the sea as a child. In my 20s, I did nothing but sit by the sea."
He revealed that he even holds a scuba diving instructor certification, surprising everyone. Lee Jang-woo explained, "I dived almost every day for nearly five years. You need to dive more than 300 times to get the instructor certification. I naturally ended up challenging myself for the instructor certification."
Despite that, he reflected, "I got it back then, but as work increased, I forgot the romance of sitting by the sea. At that point, I set aside scuba diving."
Eventually, Lee Jang-woo arrived in Goseong, Gangwon Province, and met actors Ha Jae-sook and Lee Jun-haeng. Ha Jae-sook, along with her husband, operates a diving shop in Goseong and has a history of obtaining scuba diving certification with Lee Jang-woo.
Lee Jang-woo said, "She is the sister who got her open water certification with me. We practiced in the pool and decided to go to Jeju Island. I remember diving into the sea for the first time, and from then on, we were together every day. For years, whenever I would ask, 'Sister, are you good?' she would say, 'Let's go to the sea,' without even reserving accommodation, just resting in the car briefly and spending all day diving. I loved that so much. We did that all the time. Everyone said I was crazy for loving the sea so much."
Ha Jae-sook lent Lee Jang-woo a suit, and after some twists and turns, he prepared for diving. Meanwhile, Ha Jae-sook's husband was seen carefully taking care of both his wife and Lee Jang-woo.
At that time, Ha Jae-sook said, "It's been 13 years since you and I first came here. Back then, I said it wasn't great here, and you suggested we order black bean noodles, so we ate and ended up staying here." It turned out that thanks to Lee Jang-woo, Ha Jae-sook met her current husband.
Lee Jang-woo stated, "The two got married because of me," explaining, "The husband was running a scuba shop, and my sister and I got our open water certifications and wandered around, then visited that shop. My sister said it wasn't great here and suggested going somewhere else, but I wanted to eat black bean noodles. I said, 'Let's eat black bean noodles first,' and while we were there, my brother sat down and we became friends, eventually leading to their marriage." Upon hearing this, Jun Hyun-moo noted, "When people dive together, they often end up connecting."
