The legal representative of actress Song Ha-yoon has made an official statement regarding the return of informant A, who claims to be a victim of school violence.
Law Firm Jium announced on the 22nd, "We plan to support all expenses such as airfare, hotel fees, and transportation costs so that A can return quickly and undergo an investigation," and added, "We are already prepared to verify the facts related to the claims made after entry one by one."
Earlier, Song Ha-yoon added a defamation complaint against the initial disseminator of the school violence allegations.
On the 18th, Song Ha-yoon's legal representative, Law Firm Jium, informed OSEN that a second complaint was filed against A, who initially spread the school violence allegations, stating, "In addition to defamation, we filed another complaint for obstruction of business and intimidation."
The school violence allegations against Song Ha-yoon emerged in February of last year, when she was receiving acclaim for her role as the villain Jung Soo-min in the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Marry My Husband' (abbreviated as 'MMH'). However, shortly after 'MMH' ended, A, who claimed to be a high school classmate of Song Ha-yoon, raised allegations of school violence from their school days, sparking controversy. In response, Song Ha-yoon claimed through her management at the time that she had never met A and asserted that the claims were "groundless." Nevertheless, she could not overturn the critical public opinion and effectively suspended her entertainment industry activities after her contract with her previous agency expired.
About 1 year and 5 months later, on the 2nd of last month, the Jium side reiterated Song Ha-yoon's innocence and announced that they filed a lawsuit against A for defamation based on false facts. Nonetheless, it was noted that A was living in the U.S. and was unresponsive to the investigation. A reiterated the allegations of school violence against Song Ha-yoon in an interview with domestic media. In response, the Jium side revealed plans for a further complaint against A, indicating that a second lawsuit had been conducted.
Song Ha-yoon's side continues to emphasize that the school violence allegations are "groundless" and is focused on pursuing legal action against A. A has also indicated plans to file a counter-suit for false charges after returning to Korea. The truth, which will be revealed in court, is drawing attention.
Meanwhile, A posted a message in an online community on the 21st, announcing her anticipated return to Korea, claiming, "The Song Ha-yoon side demanded a public apology for false confessions." Additionally, she claimed to have confirmed the fact of Song Ha-yoon's forced transfer through administrative agencies.
