The group ITZY has taken up arms against malicious commenters.
On the 22nd, ITZY's agency, JYP Entertainment, stated through the official fan community that "we have announced several times our strong response to all acts that infringe on artists' rights, and we are proceeding with legal action through fan reports and our own monitoring."
The agency noted, "Malicious slander, sexual harassment, and the dissemination of false information regarding the artists' bodies posted on domestic and international communities, social media, and video channels are illegal acts, all of which are subject to legal action. As these issues have increased and persisted recently, we are strengthening our monitoring and legal response to them."
It added, "We will proceed with all available legal actions in the process, and there will be no leniency or settlement during the response process. Furthermore, we plan to continue real-time responses through ongoing monitoring, and we will strictly address any acts of deleting evidence to evade responsibility."
Finally, it stated, "We are regularly collecting malicious posts about our artists and proceeding with legal action, so we ask for fans' interest and active reporting on this matter."
Meanwhile, ITZY has been active since releasing their new mini-album 'Girls Will Be Girls' in June.
