Singer Moon Hee-joon expressed his excitement ahead of H.O.T's first complete stage in 6 years.
On the 22nd, a video titled "The legend returns?! H.O.T. Hee-joon's performance rehearsal first revealed" was uploaded to Moon Hee-joon and So-yul's YouTube channel 'Fun House'.
So-yul visited Moon Hee-joon, who was sweating from practicing ahead of the complete stage after 6 years. Moon Hee-joon revealed his wife So-yul, daughter Hee-yul, and son Hee-woo to the dancers. In particular, Moon Hee-joon explained about his son Hee-woo, saying, "He is the second child born on our debut day. 'Hee' has the initial 'H', and 'Woo' has 'O.T'. I think he was born with the energy of debuting as H.O.T., which is why we gave him that name."
His daughter Hee-yul, who dreams of being an idol, showed even more excitement as it was her first time coming to the practice room. Moon Hee-joon said, "If Jam Jam is okay, we can practice here," and immediately danced to IVE's "ATTITUDE." Moon Hee-joon responded, "It already feels like she's debuted," and the choreographers noted, "These days, there are many academies for learning, but if she can follow along this much by herself, she has talent. In particular, I believe that having 'flair' is something you're born with," saying, "Just dancing in front of people itself shows that she has flair."
Moon Hee-joon once again asked his daughter Hee-yul about her intentions to debut as an idol. Despite mentioning that the training is difficult and the process is hard, Hee-yul replied, "I think it would be fun." Moon Hee-joon said, "She loves dancing so much that wanting to continue despite the difficulty seems to come from her mother's genes. I was the type who wanted to take a break when it was hard," and So-yul acknowledged the genes, saying, "I didn't really take breaks."
Moon Hee-joon explained to his children that they would be performing together as a complete group for the first time in 6 years. So-yul expressed her anticipation, saying, "I really want to see my brother dance again after such a long time. I want to remember that impressive sight." Moon Hee-joon revealed, "Living with a legend, how proud must that be? I never said such things during our marriage, but strangely, leading up to the H.O.T performance, my tone has become softer, and I show respect. Once the concert is over, I will return to normal."
Moon Hee-joon reminisced about the time of H.O.T's debut. He said, "Official auditions were held, and I participated and was selected. Ten people were selected at the same time, but the current members weren't there. Then Kangta joined, followed by Tony, Lee Jae-won, and Jang Woo-hyuk." In particular, some of the choreographers currently involved were those who participated at the beginning of H.O.T's activities, and they commented, "He treated the dancers well and even took care of their transportation. As a leader, he has charisma and treats the dancers and staff well even now. Many don't know, but Moon Hee-joon choreographed a lot and understands our feelings well."
The choreographers praised Moon Hee-joon, saying, "Even now, apart from his stamina, he dances well," and, "His energy is high, so he says it's hard, but he has a lot of energy when he dances." They mentioned that 'Outside Castle' is difficult, saying, "There aren't many repetitive moves and there are many varied ones, which can be confusing. If you make a mistake, it stands out a lot. There's sign language, which is not easy." Moon Hee-joon reflected, "When I came to the practice room back then, it was an atmosphere where I received advice and support while creating. I used to create choreography alone and taught the dancers, who then taught the members. It seemed like it would take too long, so I slept at SM for about a month. When I put a mat down and slept in the practice room, my juniors would say, 'H.O.T goes this far.'"
Moon Hee-joon, who will stand on stage with his members for the first time in 6 years, shared, "I think about it several times a day. Sometimes it suddenly comes to mind before I sleep, or when I'm out playing with the kids or driving, it subtly comes to mind. It's actually been 6 years since we practiced together, so it felt good to see them. Even after a long time, there was no awkwardness. I think that's the best part," adding, "I want to show the best stage, but I need to succeed in my diet before standing on stage, and it's been decided way too suddenly. I was wondering if I wouldn't be able to do it since problems arose after I decided to do it, but it's only been about a month since the concert was confirmed. I'm trying to lighten my body as much as possible, and regardless of whether the concert goes ahead or not, I've decided to continue my diet. I want to return to my debut weight after a long time."
Meanwhile, H.O.T will take the stage as headliners at the 'Hanteo Music Festival' held at Seoul World Cup Stadium on September 6 and 7.
