Director Maggie Kang shared her thoughts on the sequel story of "K-pop Demon Hunters."
On the afternoon of the 22nd, a press conference for the Netflix movie "K-pop Demon Hunters" was held with director Maggie Kang (Kang Min-ji) at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul.
"K-pop Demon Hunters" is an action fantasy animation that tells the story of K-pop superstars "Lumi," "Mira," and "Joy" as they act as hidden heroes protecting the world behind the glamorous stage.
Since it received great love from global fans immediately after its release, there is growing interest in the sequel to "K-pop Demon Hunters." Director Maggie Kang noted, "There is no official story yet. In my view, the backstories have not been shown 100% to the fans. There are many such stories. I have ideas. (I know many people are waiting) I do too."
When asked about which artists he would like to collaborate with for the sequel's OST, he said, "There are many artists I want to collaborate with. I want to show more varieties of Korean music style, like trot. Trot is quite popular these days, right? I want to show that too, along with other genres of K-pop. I want to showcase Korean music," adding, "I also want to include heavy metal."
Meanwhile, "K-pop Demon Hunters" was released on Netflix on June 20th.
