Comedian Lim Jong-hyuk's wife, Kim Han-na, revealed the secret to her natural conception.
On the 19th, a video titled "Revealing the secret to successful pregnancy! Pregnant women and expectant mothers' candid pregnancy talk" was uploaded on Kim Seung-hye's YouTube channel. In the video, Kim Seung-hye along with Park So-young, Oh Na-mi, Park Bo-mi, and Kim Han-na gathered to have a meal and discuss pregnancy.
Kim Han-na, a Korean-American and the wife of comedian Lim Jong-hyuk, shared updates as she approaches childbirth and noted that she shares a due date in October with Park Bo-mi.
Unlike Park Bo-mi, who conceived through in vitro fertilization, Kim Han-na, who achieved a natural pregnancy, stated, "I didn't even use an ovulation test kit or visit an obstetrician. Truly, it's a blessing, and I am very grateful," which surprised those listening.
Kim Han-na explained, "While looking at the menstrual app, the ovulation cycle could be slightly off. But if you input this for several years, you get a rough idea of the cycle. I figured that ovulation would be around this time, and I calculated from the day based on that. The last day they could meet is five days later because sperm can live inside a woman's body for five days. So I calculated five days before the last day of the fertile period. That's when we did it. And then took a day off. After that, we continued two days and then one day before."
She continued, "We had intercourse exactly three times. Five days before, three days before, and two days before, and that's how it happened. We did it for those three days and kept using early pregnancy tests. I took the first urine test, and after nine days, the first time I saw it, there was one line. I was about to throw it away when I noticed a faint second line. I woke up my husband to show him, and he said, 'There are two lines.'"
Later, Kim Han-na also shared information about the process from fertilization to implantation with Park So-young, Oh Na-mi, and Kim Seung-hye, who are preparing for their second child. She advised, "In the beginning, you should manage your health. Detoxing and taking folic acid early on is good for the body. It helps even if you start taking it now. How you approach intimacy is up to you, but I definitely recommend doing it from five days before. This is because sperm can live for five days."
In response, Park Bo-mi suggested, "But for those who find it difficult to calculate, just go to the hospital to get a definitive date and do the homework or try using ovulation test kits. They might not be 100% accurate, but you can try those, and if it doesn't work, you can go to the hospital. It's best to approach the situation comfortably. It varies for each individual; there's no definitive answer, and it differs from doctor to doctor in hospitals." Kim Han-na emphasized, "As long as you think you've done your best, that's enough. I think not getting stressed is the most important thing."
Kim Han-na particularly noted, "At (Park So-young's) wedding, the two of us sat at the same table. Since I was with (Jong-hyuk), I was sitting there, and she cautiously asked me if I was preparing for pregnancy. I said I planned to start in January. Bo-mi said she would undergo (in vitro fertilization) next week. We talked about such things while receiving good energy, and we both decided to try next month, and both got pregnant in January. Then when I came out about my pregnancy, she called and said she was also pregnant, asking when my due date was. I received the good energy from the wedding, and blessings circulate."
Meanwhile, Lim Jong-hyuk married Kim Han-na, a 2-year-younger Korean-American, last October. Since then, in April this year, he shared the news about their second child through his social media account, saying, "I now have a lifelong sauna buddy, a lifelong drinking buddy, and a lifelong teammate to protect my wife. Thank you so much for joining us and again, thank you, Taeri."
