Actress Im Yoo-mi is making a new transformation in her acting.
The MBN special one-act drama 'Polaroid' (written by Kim Jin-hwan, directed by Son Byeong-jo), which airs tonight (22nd), tells the story of Deok-jung (played by Park Won-sang), a taxi driver given a terminal diagnosis, and 'Jeong-sook,' a karaoke assistant who is treated as a has-been, in an emotional drama.
Im Yoo-mi plays the role of Jeong-sook, who appears rough on the outside but has a gentle heart. Jeong-sook, living a precarious life as if pushed to the edge, becomes entangled with Deok-jung in a goshiwon, comforting each other's wounds and filling their last moments together.
In particular, Im Yoo-mi raises profound questions about life and death, and the essence of human relationships beyond simple romance through 'Polaroid.' It is expected that her unique, realistic acting will breathe life into the character and enhance the immersion.
The preview released prior to the broadcast features Im Yoo-mi's dense performance seamlessly shifting between light-heartedness and intense tears, sparking curiosity about Jeong-sook's hidden story. Having showcased her irreplaceable presence in each work, including 'Lovers,' 'The Judge from Hell,' 'Retirement Age,' 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' and '24-hour Health Club,' Im Yoo-mi is projected to deliver a lasting emotional impact on viewers through 'Polaroid.'
Meanwhile, the MBN special one-act drama 'Polaroid,' where viewers can encounter another charm of Im Yoo-mi, airs tonight (22nd) at 12 a.m.
