Actress Choi Yeo-jin has faced a crisis ahead of a new start.
On the 21st, a video titled "I need your help" was uploaded on Choi Yeo-jin's YouTube channel, featuring a thumbnail that read "Help me!"
The production team explained, "The Choi Yeo-jin channel is launching anew, but it is already facing the challenge of naming the channel from the start."
The production team discussed the name of the channel while dining with Choi Yeo-jin and her husband, Kim Jae-wook. The production team asked, "Since we are starting with a revamped YouTube channel, we've been thinking about it. There are about twenty ideas, and an initial brainstorming session usually generates a lot of ideas because naming is not easy. During the tossing out of ideas, fun names come up."
Kim Jae-wook noted, "Since this friend has a distinct color, I hope the channel name emphasizes that unique aspect. There's a proper noun called Choi Yeo-jin. If we say Choi Yeo-jin, it would be a name that allows her unique name to shine gradually." This brought laughter.
The production team requested, "Just throw out ideas," and Choi Yeo-jin expressed, "I don't know. The reason I initially named it Choi Yeo-jin channel was because I was told to name it. But I actually dislike naming itself." The production team noted, "Yeo-jin, we think we have to incorporate that," and then suggested, "You know how these days, idols often say 'Who is your favorite?'" presenting the idea of 'My Favorite Yeo-jin.'
Additionally, they suggested, "The term 'ski' means to like in Japanese, right? Since we do things like wakeboarding and water skiing, there's also the idea of 'Yeo-jin-ski.' Since 'Choi' is often said as 'Choi,' there's also Yeo-jin Choi, and considering that her sister is tall, we could approach it as 'Tall Sister'…" While carefully mentioning candidates, she gradually lost confidence in the increasingly cold atmosphere.
Choi Yeo-jin asked, "No, I like that idea. Let's hurry up and do it," and the production team mentioned, "Since Yeo-jin also means seismic activity, there's a feeling of shaking the heart with 'Hey, it's Yeo-jin.' There's also the famous line, 'There's still one step left,' isn't there? 'There's still Yeo-jin left,'" suggesting candidates and adding, "This is falling into a rut. Also, she suggested, "Since the side is falling out, should we go with something like 'Falling Queen'? If we abbreviate Falling Queen in an mz style, it could become 'Falling Queen,' this might hook into people," to which Choi Yeo-jin remarked, "I do get the feeling it seems like mz. I want to reflect the ideas of young people, but only as far as it doesn't stray from me."
The production team asked, "So, is there the best name so far?" but Choi Yeo-jin shook her head. The production team wiped the sweat from their brows, admitting, "This is the toughest part," and ultimately decided to change the channel name to 'Choi Yeo-jin's Real Channel Name is Nonexistent' and stated, "We decided to use viewer chance" while sending out an SOS, stating "Help me!"
