Designer Yang Hae-il's brand 'TheHAEIL' has been officially invited to participate in the Pret-a-Porter 2026 SS (Spring/Summer) season collection held in France on Oct. 6. This marks 'HAEIL's introduction of unique designs based on emotional minimalism to the European fashion scene.
Yang Hae-il had been under a travel ban for a long time and could not attend the event in Paris in person. However, with the help of Seonmyeong Law Firm, the travel ban has been lifted, allowing him to participate in the Paris fashion show. He has been pouring all his efforts into thorough preparations and organizing a local collaborative creative team for months leading up to this collection.
Despite being under a travel ban, he has been preparing thoroughly in case of any eventuality. After being investigated due to the controversy over Kim Jung-sook's clothing prices during the Moon Jae-in administration, he was banned from traveling and could not engage in any activities. However, following a recent interview, waves of support for Designer Yang Hae-il's challenges continue both at home and abroad, with comments such as, "To announce a move to Paris despite the travel ban, this is really HAEIL" and "A designer with philosophy in clothing is stepping into the world."
Yang Hae-il stated, "This Pret-a-Porter show is an experiment and a promise to show how beautifully 'Korea's traditional and popular arts can be expressed.' I sincerely thank everyone coming together for HAEIL's long-awaited stage."
Meanwhile, actress Clara will be modeling in this show. Clara, who drew attention with her legging pitch, has been actively working between Korea and China since her marriage in 2019.
