On the 22nd, a video titled 'Divorce rumors? Separation rumors? The truth revealed by the Shu couple' was released on the YouTube channel 'Human That's Shu.'
Shu pointed out her husband Lim Hyo-seong, saying, "Our family includes our third-year middle school student Im Yoo, and our sixth-grade twin daughters Ra-hee and Ra-yul. We also have our beloved Harang, Tori, and Gyeoul."
Shu and Lim Hyo-seong addressed the rumors of divorce and separation directly. Shu said, "I've read a lot of articles. For instance, if we really got divorced, who would take the kids and who would pay the child support? We shouldn't be far apart or stop seeing each other, right?" Lim Hyo-seong replied, "That's why we're still together since we couldn't come to an agreement. It's not that we have any feelings of hatred towards each other; we have children who are more important, so those decisions aren't easy."
Shu and Lim Hyo-seong argued about 'pensions.' When Shu said, "I hope we don't have to touch each other's pensions," Lim Hyo-seong responded, "I also pay into a pension. And if you ask for a pension, are you someone who gives it?" To this, Shu said, "Since I think of you as a friend, we hardly have any fights," and Lim Hyo-seong replied, "I'm trying not to fight."
Lim Hyo-seong mentioned, "I've received many calls from acquaintances regarding the divorce articles, asking 'Are you okay?' I neither deny it nor say, 'It happened that way.'" Shu explained, "I always tell the kids, 'Dad is mom's eternal best friend.' Our relationship is strictly neutral," while Lim Hyo-seong asserted, "Only Shu is neutral; I'm not. Once the kids grow up a bit more, we have to live separately. Our lifestyles are very different, and there are many frustrating aspects."
Shu and Lim Hyo-seong referred to the rumors of 'separation' and 'divorce' as being 'weekend couple.' Lim Hyo-seong explained, "I live outside due to work, but there are no set rules. I come here on Friday or Saturday, stay for one or two nights, and then go back to my own place. I've been living separately for about 3 to 4 years," adding that, "Even as a weekend couple, our daily lives are similar to others." Shu complained, "We all dine out together, eat, and I pay the bill first," but Lim Hyo-seong remarked, "What do you do? You've only done it a few times."
Meanwhile, Shu and Lim Hyo-seong got married in 2010 and have three children, one son and two daughters. Shu was indicted for habitual gambling worth about 790 million won from August 2016 to May 2018. In February 2019, she received a six-month prison sentence with a two-year probation. After taking time for reflection, Shu announced her comeback in April 2022, appearing as a BJ but once again attracted controversy for wearing revealing clothes.
