Director Maggie Kang of 'K-Dead Hunters' expressed her thoughts on having her daughter Lumi participate directly in the project.
On the afternoon of 22nd, a press conference for the Netflix movie 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' was held with director Maggie Kang (Kang Min-ji) at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul.
'K-Pop Demon Hunters' is an action fantasy animation that tells the story of K-Pop superstars 'Lumi', 'Mira', and 'Joy' who act as hidden heroes protecting the world behind the glamorous stage.
Earlier, Maggie Kang revealed that her daughter's actual name is also 'Lumi'. Lumi had also acted as the child version of Lumi in the story. Maggie Kang said, "Our child also did the singing. Lumi is proud of becoming famous."
She continued, "The voice acting studio was huge. It was almost the size of this space (the cinema). She was fearless, singing and acting in front of unknown, first-time adults. So, I was very proud of my daughter. I told her, 'You did so well.' Then she said, 'If I do better, my mom's movie will be more wonderful.'" She expressed pride, saying, "Our Lumi has talent."
Meanwhile, 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' was released on Netflix on June 20th.
