"First, for love" is properly demonstrating the true value of the healing drama.
The production team of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama "First, for love" (directed by Yoo Je-won, written by Seong Woo-jin, planned and produced by Studio Dragon and Showruners) unveiled behind-the-scenes stills from "Cheonghae's" offering joyful laughter, excitement, warm emotions, and empathy on the 22nd, receiving the viewers' affection.
In the last broadcast, the identity and story of the suspicious neighbor Jeong Moon-hee (played by Kim Mi-kyung), mother of Lee Ji-an (played by Yum Jung-ah) and Lee Hyori (played by Choi Yoon-ji), were revealed. He, a former hospital professor, began to show symptoms of confusion due to the shock of losing his husband and daughter, mistaking Lee Ji-an for his daughter. Meanwhile, attention was drawn to Lee Yeo-jeong (played by Oh Na-ra), the ex-wife of Ryu Jeong-seok (played by Park Hae-joon) and mother of Ryu Bo-hyun (played by Kim Min-kyu), who unexpectedly came to Korea and caused confusion for the rich family, stating that he would be staying in Cheonghae for work.
"First, for love" adds interest by depicting various relationships and diverse emotional lines. Lee Ji-an and Lee Hyori began to dream of new happiness while sharing a tearful reconciliation, and Ryu Jeong-seok and Ryu Bo-hyun offered gentle comfort to them, further developing their romance. The appearances of Lee Ji-an's best friend Kim Sun-young (played by Kim Sun-young) and the villagers of Cheonghae, along with Jeong Moon-hee and Lee Yeo-jeong, raise expectations for the latter part of the story.
Amidst this, behind-the-scenes glimpses of the actors were released ahead of entering the second act. First, Yum Jung-ah radiates a serious gaze in ultra-focused mode, not letting go of the script until just before filming. Yum Jung-ah's choice was indeed not wrong. With realistic acting and delicate emotional expression, she perfectly embodies the character "Lee Ji-an", proving her strength once again. Park Hae-joon attracts attention with his intense focus on monitoring, elevating the charm of the calm yet sincere "Ryu Jeong-seok" through an exciting acting transformation. The presence of Lee Yeo-jeong introduces an unpredictable variable in the increasingly close relationship between Lee Ji-an and Ryu Jeong-seok, raising curiosity about the subtle changes among the three.
Choi Yoon-ji and Kim Min-kyu brighten the filming set with their refreshing visuals suited to summer. In the closing moments of the 6th broadcast, the "straightforward confession" of Lee Hyori, who realized her feelings for Ryu Bo-hyun, caused viewers' heart rates to soar. Even in the face of fierce waves, sudden downpours, and situations filled with anxiety and uncertainty, Lee Hyori chose a start instead of giving up, made possible by Ryu Bo-hyun. Attention is focused on the healing and growth journey of the two youths and the direction of their romance.
The image of Kim Sun-young captured alongside Yum Jung-ah and Park Hae-joon, engrossed in monitoring, also stands out. Synchronizing with Lee Ji-an and Lee Hyori as another family, Kim Sun-young brings lively energy to the drama. Meanwhile, the group photo of Kang Ae-sim, Jeong Young-joo, and Park Soo-young conveys a warm and cheerful atmosphere as delightful as the main story. In the drama, Mi-mi Halmae (played by Kang Ae-sim), Go Yi-jang (played by Jeong Young-joo), and Go Yi-jang's husband (played by Park Soo-young) stand out as the indispensable trio in Cheonghae village, showing their incredible presence with their abundance of emotional depth and humanity. The invaluable performances and dazzling synergy of the actors, which are expected to add emotion and fun, will make "First, for love" shine even more with each episode.
