Broadcaster Daniel Lindemann reinterprets 'Arirang' to commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation.
Daniel Lindemann will release a new digital single 'Arirang' through various online music sites at 6 p.m. on the 21st.
'Arirang' is the first new track presented by Daniel Lindemann since the release of 'No Spring Skips Its Turn' in March, about five months ago. Daniel Lindemann plans to present a reinterpretation of 'Arirang' as a performance piece to enhance its significance in celebrating the 80th anniversary of liberation.
In particular, Daniel Lindemann increased the quality by writing the song himself and playing the piano, while Haegeum player Cheon Ji-yoon contributed to making the piece even richer.
Daniel Lindemann noted, "I believe 'Arirang' is not just a simple song, but a symbol that embodies the emotions and history of Koreans. Through the meeting of traditional instruments and piano, I wanted to express anew the messages of sorrow, hope, and recovery that 'Arirang' carries."
He added, "On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of liberation, I hope this piece serves as a small echo that remembers both the pain and light of Korea and wishes for future peace."
Since the release of his first album 'Esperance' in 2017, Daniel Lindemann has actively continued his music career by regularly releasing piano pieces such as 'Serenade', 'Story', 'Keys to Summer', 'And She Said Excuse Me', 'A Picture Drawn with Flowers', and 'They Smiled'. He also makes his presence known as a musician by performing on the stages of various music-related events.
Meanwhile, Daniel Lindemann's new digital single 'Arirang' will be available for listening on various online music sites from 6 p.m. on the 21st.
