SHINee's Key and BTOB's Lee Changsub expressed their excitement ahead of the live broadcast of 'Salon de Doll.'
The recently released prequel of ENA's variety show 'Salon de Doll: You Talk Too Much' (abbreviated as 'Salon de Doll') features idol seniors and juniors gathering to engage in intense debates over trivial topics. It's an expanded version of TEO's popular content 'Salon Drip,' with Key and Lee Changsub serving as co-MCs, while from the fourth episode of the prequel, Hyoyeon joined as a guest MC, showcasing a fantastic talk chemistry.
'Salon de Doll,' which has raised expectations through its prequel, is set to officially feature a variety of idol guests from the fifth episode, increasing anticipation. The fifth episode will feature MZ representative icon Leejung and Jeon Somi as guests, who are expected to showcase unpredictable banter and chemistry. Ahead of this, Key and Lee Changsub shared the program's behind-the-scenes stories and their anticipation through a written interview.
For variety show veteran Key, 'Salon de Doll' presented a new format. Key noted, "I rarely have opportunities to discuss my beliefs or philosophies, so I was glad to have this chance this time," adding, "Talking all day was tiring, but it was really fun" after filming. Lee Changsub also shared, "It was a format I hadn't tried before, so I was half excited and half worried," but added, "However, I was really looking forward to doing the program with my friend Key. I'm grateful for the invitation, and I will do my best."
Key and Lee Changsub, who are buddies from their military band, are showcasing fantastic chemistry through 'Salon de Doll' as expected from their long relationship. After the prequel airing, reactions like, "It's great to see their genuine friendship moments," "It's so fun to see harmless people chatting," and "Watching their back-and-forth made me like them more than I already did" poured in.
Key commented on Lee Changsub, saying, "We've spent so much time together that now I feel we can comfortably broadcast without much thought when we meet," while Lee Changsub similarly expressed, "It's reassuring to have Key. I will continue to trust him going forward," showing deep trust. Key also shared his anticipation about reuniting with PD Lee Taekyung, with whom he had previously collaborated, saying, "He is the one who discovered me, so he knows better than anyone what I like," adding, "That aspect will probably be fun on the show."
'Salon de Doll' engages the cast's discussion instinct in a cheerful manner, covering diverse topics including love, work, lifestyle, and idol culture. Key shared his discussion style, saying, "I'm usually quiet when I'm alone, but I tend to talk a lot when I meet someone," while Lee Changsub revealed, "I'm not as talkative as I thought, and I'm the type who listens carefully to others," showcasing contrasting personalities.
Ahead of the fifth episode, Key stated, "I believe the stories we can share this season will definitely be different," adding, "I would appreciate it if you could enjoy the candid talks interestingly." Lee Changsub also emphasized, "Since everyone's experiences are different, the ability to share various viewpoints and opinions is the program's strength. I hope it will be a time for viewers to think together."
