On the 13th, Shu's YouTube channel 'Human That's Shu' released a video titled 'Shu is back (Why did she return after 8 years?).' Eight years ago, she was ordered to serve 80 hours of community service due to a legal order related to illegal gambling amounting to 800 million won.
Afterward, Shu, who had directly done community service at the social welfare agency located in Cheonan, subtly revealed that she continues to visit there. Shu said, 'That place is where those friends work. It is a space where they grow and sell flowers,' adding in a friendly tone, 'Do we deliver this to Samsung employees?'
Shu stated, 'I am very much liked, and I am happy. When I see those friends who are so bright and trying hard to live, I realized I gained a lot from them during difficult times. That's how I was able to overcome it.' She introduced them, saying, 'They really like the real me, Yusuyoung, and they know my true feelings and care about them.' Even a passing employee supported her by saying, 'I hope you bounce back soon.' It was clear that all employees appearing in Shu's video were not mosaicked, indicating she had a special relationship with them.
Shu explained, 'In the past, I was just scared. I wanted to quit the entertainment industry; I thought I couldn't do it. But now when I go there, even if others point fingers at me and curse, they talk to me about everything, and I am grateful for that.'
Returning after 8 years, Shu expressed her concerns. She noted, 'Talks began a month ago. When I was approached for the program, I thought, can I really go out? I shouldn't cause any trouble for the program. The thought weighed heavily on me about standing in front of the public.'
She said, 'Because it's my first return in 9 years, how could I not be nervous? Senior Jisukjin kindly told me, 'Shuya! It's nothing. You should be active a lot,' and senior Lee Kyungsil said the same. She encouraged me by saying I should enjoy it, considering my age.'
