Director Yeon Sang-ho's latest film 'Face' is drawing attention with its unique homepage even before its release.
On the 21st, the film 'Face' (written and directed by Yeon Sang-ho, provided and produced by Wow Point, co-distributed by Plus M Entertainment) announced that it will be released in theaters on September 11, unveiling a distinctive homepage that embodies its unique concept.
'Face' is a film that delves into the mystery surrounding the death of a mother, buried for 40 years, involving 'Lim Young-kyu', who, despite being unable to see, has become a master in the field of carving, and his son 'Lim Dong-hwan'. As curiosity grows around the film's well-crafted quality, the story that director Yeon Sang-ho was eager to tell, and the mysterious character 'Jung Young-hee', a homepage has been launched requesting tips while revealing five decisive clues about 'Jung Young-hee'.
Clicking on the homepage first displays the message, "We are looking for those who remember 'Jung Young-hee's' face", along with an appeal stating, "We are waiting for tips from those who remember the 'face' of Jung Young-hee, who worked at Cheongpung Outfit near Cheonggyecheon in the 1970s." This piques curiosity about the mystery within the film. The clues, revealed one by one, further ignite curiosity about the character 'Jung Young-hee'.
Among the five clues released are the resident registration card of 'Jung Young-hee', which has faded and is barely recognizable, the signboard of the Cheongpung Outfit factory where he worked 40 years ago, the stamp engraved by his visually impaired husband 'Lim Young-kyu' for 'Jung Young-hee', a vacant portrait with no photo, and the three characters that spell 'Jung Young-hee' written by herself. This dual mystery surrounding who killed 'Jung Young-hee', who was found dead after 40 years, and the truth behind her death, including what her face actually looked like, captures attention.
In particular, internet users who choose one of the five clues and report it on social media will have a chance to receive special prizes through a raffle. The prizes include a stamp personally created by actor Park Jung-min, who plays both 'Lim Young-kyu', a master stamp maker who creates the most beautiful stamps in the world, and his son 'Lim Dong-hwan', as well as posters featuring the autographs of the cast members, which is generating great interest.
'Face' will be released nationwide in theaters on September 11.
