BTS will screen a live performance in theaters around the world.
On the 20th, BTS announced a special event by posting the main poster for 'BTS MOVIE WEEKS' on the team's official social media. This event is a large-scale project that will show the team's live performances in over 2,000 theaters in more than 65 countries/regions from September 24 to October 5. BTS will create an unforgettable special experience for fans by coloring theaters around the world with its official light stick, ARMY BOMB.
'BTS MOVIE WEEKS' will screen four performances that capture BTS's growth and meaningful moments. It includes 'BTS 2016 Live 花樣年華 On Stage: Epilogue', which marked the first entry into KSPO DOME, and 'BTS 2017 Live Trilogy EPISODE III THE WINGS TOUR THE FINAL', which showcased their leap to global artist status after winning an award at the Billboard Music Awards.
Additionally, fans can enjoy 'BTS 2019 WORLD TOUR 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF' LONDON', where BTS held a solo performance at Wembley Stadium, making them the first Korean artist to do so. BTS attracted 120,000 audience members over two days at that event. The online fan meeting 'BTS 2021 MUSTER SOWOOZOO', held to celebrate their 8th anniversary, will also be part of the screenings. The fan meeting was viewed by over 1.33 million people in 195 countries/regions, proving strong global communication even during the pandemic.
Big Hit Music noted, 'We have prepared a project that allows us to reminisce about BTS's journey. We aim to share the emotions and energy of that day with ARMY members worldwide on the screen.'
'BTS MOVIE WEEKS' screenings have been remastered in 4K ultra high definition and 5.1 surround sound for an immersive experience. The enhanced visuals and audio will make the audience feel as if they are part of the concert.
In Korea, the screenings will take place at MEGABOX from September 23 to October 21, for about a month, with tickets available from September 10. On the first day, September 23, a special screening will be held at COEX, showcasing all four live performances. In the first week, concerts from 2016 and 2017 will be shown, while the second week will feature performances from 2019 and 2021. All four films will be screened in weeks three and four. The overseas screening schedule varies by country/region, and more details can be found on the official website of 'BTS MOVIE WEEKS.'
Meanwhile, BTS officially announced the release of new music and a large-scale world tour next spring. They have been concentrating on music work and concert preparations, gradually moving to the U.S. since July. They are also actively communicating with fans through global superfan platform Weverse.
