Kim Tae-hee confessed to parenting stress and shed tears on 'You Quiz on the Block.'
On the broadcast of tvN's entertainment show 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereinafter referred to as 'You Quiz') on the 20th, actress Kim Tae-hee grants her daily life as a mother.
Now a mother of two daughters aged 6 and 8, Kim Tae-hee said her favorite appearance was during her thirties, stating, 'I think I liked my looks the most in my thirties. Parts I dislike keep increasing. As I age, it seems I have to accept that, and I hope that the wrinkles formed from smiling a lot will be viewed positively.'
Cho Sae-ho asked if Bi (Jung Ji-hoon) was any kind of father to his two daughters. Kim Tae-hee replied, 'I manage my image diligently,' adding, 'I always buy them gifts and give them junk food. I prefer to feed them as healthily as possible, but I tend to give them snacks because they eat health food to the point of bursting.'
Then Yoo Jae-suk asked, 'I heard that you experienced a late-onset midlife crisis.' Kim Tae-hee responded, 'My mother is really a devoted person. She raised us that way, and my children are also being raised really diligently,' and added, 'Because the standards are different, I went through a midlife crisis when I had never experienced a teenage rebellion during my school days, and I wanted to rebel against my mother, seeing everything as nagging.'
She also stated, 'I suddenly got angry at my mother and then apologized,' saying, 'Having lived as a daughter until almost forty, becoming a mother made me think about what kind of relationship I would like my daughter to have with me when she grows up, and I began to understand my mother's feelings.'
Kim Tae-hee mentioned, 'In fact, after getting married, I had my first child as a honeymoon baby and devoted myself to parenting. I thought raising them was so difficult that having a second child would be unreasonable. But after the second child was born, I took a five-year break. However, I want to do more projects, and I developed a thirst for acting, which changed my mind.'
On that day, Kim Tae-hee said, 'I had parenting stress. Now that the kids have grown, it has become much easier, but during the most emotionally difficult times, I feel that I have wronged my mother,' recalling the difficult times and shedding tears over her feelings of guilt toward her mother.
Finally, when asked, 'If you could have time for yourself, what would you do?' Kim Tae-hee replied, 'Just being alone would be really nice. It was a 15-hour flight from New York to Incheon, and the time passed in an instant. I want to have more time for myself.'
She expressed her desire for acting, saying, 'All this time, I couldn't work because I was busy raising children, but now I want to burn brightly in my projects.'
