Broadcaster Seo Jang-hoon shared his honest thoughts on appearing in a dating program.
On the 20th, a video titled ""Since I'm the MC, I can't talk about myself" ISTJ representative, a legend in basketball, the reason for starting entertainment, five types of side dishes prepared by mom" was uploaded to the 'Narae-sik' channel.
In the video, Seo Jang-hoon appeared as a guest and had a conversation while eating steamed gizzard shad and rice cooked in a pot prepared by Park Na-rae. During the conversation about Seo Jang-hoon's entertainment activities, Park Na-rae asked, "I'm curious; these days, programs like 'Pursuing Old Encounters' are popular, right? If you get an offer for such a dating program, would you be willing to participate?"
In response, Seo Jang-hoon flatly rejected the idea, saying, "I wouldn't do it. I can't do it. Because, of course, it's fun. Then the programs become fun. But if I'm not going there to actually date someone or get married, that's different. If I genuinely planned to get married there, I don't know. Here, it's just watching until you match, right? If it's like that, then okay. Just as an example, that doesn't really make sense either."
He continued, "Meeting someone and what you do can be the most important thing in our lives in a way. Because, as you can see from the 'divorce contemplation camp', the biggest mistakes, worries, and troubles in life come from meeting the wrong partner. They arise from finding the wrong match, and thinking about doing all that in a broadcast is..." expressing negative thoughts.
Seo Jang-hoon added, "There's also this: if I'm not really attracted to the other person. But I'm worried that person might get hurt. Or the other person feels the same way. It's not right to act that out in such a situation."
Hearing this, Park Na-rae also noted, "Not everyone who appears on a dating program will feel this way, but depending on the situation, there are times when I have to act differently from my true feelings. I know this industry too well," showing her agreement.
Meanwhile, Seo Jang-hoon married broadcaster Oh Jung-yeon in 2009 but divorced by mutual consent in April 2012 after three years of marriage.
