Actress Seolhyun (Kim Seol-hyun), formerly of AOA, firmly denied rumors of transferring to Galaxy Corporation.
On the 21st, a representative from Ieum Hashtag stated to OSEN regarding Seolhyun's transfer rumors to Galaxy Corporation, "This is completely unfounded."
On the same day, a media outlet reported that Galaxy Corporation, which is the agency for G-Dragon, held exclusive meetings with actors Kim Nam-gil, Ji Chang-wook, Seolhyun, Na In-woo, among others, and that some of the actors had decided to transfer.
Galaxy Corporation, established in August 2019 as a media studio, signed an exclusive contract with G-Dragon of Big Bang in 2023 and has focused on integrating AI technology and the metaverse into the entertainment industry, including efforts to establish an "AI Entertech Research Center" in collaboration with KAIST. Additionally, it recently signed an exclusive contract with Song Kang-ho, hinting at plans to create a management team focused on actors.
Seolhyun debuted in 2012 as a member of the girl group AOA and simultaneously appeared in the KBS2 drama "My Daughter, Seyoung," showcasing her versatility as a "performing idol." Following the expiration of her exclusive contract with FNC Entertainment in 2022, she found a new home at Ieum Hashtag, a management company specializing in actors, marking the beginning of her serious career as an actress. Notably, she received critical acclaim for her role in the Disney+ series "Light Shop," which was released last year, solidifying her position as a leading actress.
Amid these developments, reports surfaced that Seolhyun had a meeting with Galaxy Corporation regarding an exclusive contract, leading to rumors of a transfer. However, her side stated, "This is not true at all."
Meanwhile, Seolhyun has confirmed her participation in the Netflix series "Slowly Intense (working title)" and is currently in the midst of filming.
