The global super group "BTS" will screen live performances in theaters worldwide.
According to their agency Big Hit Music, BTS will launch a large-scale project called "BTS Movie Weeks," screening the team's live performances in over 2,000 theaters across more than 65 countries/regions from Sept. 24 to Oct. 5.
Fans can attend the screenings while holding the official light stick "Army Bomb."
"BTS Movie Weeks" will showcase four live performances that capture BTS's growth and meaningful moments.
Included are the "BTS 2016 LIVE 화양연화 On Stage: Epilogue," which marked their first entrance into KSPO DOME, and the "BTS 2017 LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE III THE WINGS TOUR THE FINAL," which showcased their leap to becoming a global artist after winning at the Billboard Music Awards.
The screenings will also feature the "BTS 2019 WORLD TOUR 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF' LONDON," in which BTS became the first Korean artist to hold a solo performance at Wembley Stadium in the U.K. The group attracted 120,000 fans over two days.
Additionally, the online fan meeting "BTS 2021 MUSTER SOWOOZOO" will also be part of the screenings. More than 1.33 million viewers from 195 countries/regions watched this fan meeting, proving their strong global communication power even during the pandemic.
Big Hit Music noted, "We have prepared a project to reminisce about the journey of BTS. We aim to revive the emotions and energy of those days on screen and share it with ARMY fans around the world."
"BTS Movie Weeks" will be remastered in 4K ultra-high definition and 5.1 surround sound for a vivid immersive experience.
In Korea, it will be screened at Megabox from Sept. 23 to Oct. 21 for about a month. Tickets will be available for purchase starting Sept. 10.
On the first day, special screenings will be held at the COEX venue where viewers can watch all four live performances. In the first week, concerts from 2016 and 2017 will be featured, followed by shows from 2019 and 2021 in the second week. All four performances will be screened in the third and fourth weeks.
The overseas screening schedule varies by country and region. Detailed information can be found on the official website for "BTS Movie Weeks."
