'Gag Concert' season 34 newcomers are showing remarkable growth just five months after their debut.
Kang Myeong-seon, Kang Ju-won, Kim Ga-eun, Seo Seong-kyung, Seo Yu-gi, Son Min-kyung, Son Yu-dam, Ahn Hyun-woo, Oh Yeong-jin, Yoo Yeon-jo, Yoon Jae-woong, Jo Jin-hyung, Han Su-chan, and Hwang Hye-seon, the 14 comedians who debuted in March on KBS season 34, are quickly becoming immersed in 'Gag Concert'. They are bringing new comedic energy to 'Gag Concert' with the confidence of newcomers and fresh ideas.
The segment 'The Error Live', which features Yoo Yeon-jo, Jo Jin-hyung, and Han Su-chan, represents the 34th season. 'The Error Live' is a skit that overcomes a situation where props are swapped in news and home shopping just before the live broadcast through clever ad-libs. It brings fresh vitality to 'Gag Concert' by showcasing the bewildered expressions when faced with accidents and the witty process of handling them.
'The reason for men's short lifespans' features Kang Ju-won, Seo Yu-gi, Yoon Jae-woong, Son Min-kyung, and Hwang Hye-seon. They captured the audience by comically depicting the reckless behaviors of men that shorten their lifespans in a fast-paced situational comedy.
In character play, the season 34 comedians also stood out. Seo Seong-kyung has captured the audience's love with a ghost character that features a dry tone and a unique laugh in 'Simgo Police Station', while Yoo Yeon-jo leaves a strong impression every week as a quirky rapper who raps about food ingredients.
In addition, they are overwhelming the stage with their passionate performances in various segments like 'Showdown of the Century' and 'Why Are You Here?'. Although they are still rookies just five months after their debut and often participate as supporting roles, they are successfully making their mark in those segments as well.
'Gag Concert' producer Lee Jae-hyun noted, "Currently, nearly 50% of the overall segments airing are by rookie comedians," adding, "Newcomers are really playing a crucial role in 'Gag Concert'."
Meanwhile, 'Gag Concert' will air at 10:20 p.m. on the 24th.
